Brilliant saw. Ordered at 10pm and delivered the next afternoon. Set up square straight from the box. Good quality blade supplied. Bluetooth receiver included to use with extractor if owned and also a vac attachment and a dustbag.Really smooth action, rails are protected with a white grease to help stop oxidisation. All in all a brilliant purchase.

Very well made quality bit of kit as you would expect from makita. It's only draw back is its weight but see past this like I did and you'll be well impressed with what it can do and it's build quality

Amazing saw. Love itBut soooo heavy. Getting on for a two person lift.But it couldn't do what it does if it wasn't so huge

I swapped a 20 year old mitre saw for this and the difference is night and day! Fast and clean cuts, and plenty of power from the 36v platform. Easy to use, nice and accurate out of the box, left side fence needs minor adjustment and laser position when on right hand side of blade needs calibration, instructions to do this are in the manual and is fairly easy. Not a cheap saw, but reasonable price comparatively speaking. Would strongly recommend, but consider that this a heavy saw, so you may want a mobile saw stand if you don't have a workshop. Mine is in a makita mobile stand and the combination is perfect.

Very sturdily built and a bit like a spaceship at first trying to figure out some of the adjustments, but cuts like an absolute dream. Didn't even flinch cutting through 40mm thick oak, 300mm wide.Extraordinarily heavy and awkward to carry though, definitely not a portable machine!

Excellent product backed by the usual build quality you expect from Makita. It’s a bit on the heavy side but that reflects on the materials used in its construction.

I got the chop saw over night so l could use it on a job as my old Makita saw is broken l put it together and the blade kept hitting the upper fence. I got in touch with Makita. And they told me they need to see it even after l sent photos and they said yes it’s hitting the fence. I still had to send it to makita for them to look it it and l am still waiting for a reply. I have lost a days work started a new kitchen this week and will need it Friday and still nothing. All payed for and nothing to use.

This is a powerful bit of kit. The cuts are so clean and easy. If I had to say there is an issue it would be the weight of it. I got this because i was tired of running leads and transformers everywhere. But the weight doesn't make it easy. And it will not fit on the dewalt stand adapters. So a little improvisation will be needed

If you've already got the Makita batteries, and you need a large capacity saw, it's amazing! It's not exactly portable at 31kg, but if you're looking at spending £700 on a saw, then you've probably already watched reviews online and you know this! I gave away my small saw (that's on it's way out anyway) because despite it's size, I can't imagine ever using anything else. It effortlessly cuts anything up to (and including) railway sleepers. It's accurate and very ergonomic/easy to use. If you're making lots of cuts (even outside) I'd recommend organising some form of dust extraction as with such a high capacity saw, you're probably cutting big bits of timber, and if you're buying this, then you're probably using it a lot. The Beast

Its heavy ! But its an immensely capable machine , people rant on about the flex volt DW but who regally needs to plug it in ??? These batteries last all day or if using all day long youd probs have to charge em , its not that portable but if its permanently fixed to a wheeled saw stand you can pull it around anywhere , it cuts brutally acutely, Ive always found dewalt get sloppy and move after a few months , these are rock solid !! No sway or movement once locked in . The bevels and mitres go all the way to 60degrees both ways , trenching is a joy too, no dips , clean accurate cuts every time , the only thing I had to adjust was the laser after Id fitted the blade , in my opinion dewalt are not a patch on this machine , the have a shadow line instead of the laser ... MoreIts heavy !
