Brilliant, I will never use a hacksaw again, X lock tool less disc change is a game changer, so quick and easy.

Great piece of kit. As a poultry keeper, I make a lot of aviary panels and cutting mesh was the bane of my life until I bought this. No more building where there's power and lugging finished panels to their point of use. This goes through mesh where I'm going to use it like a hot knife through butter, and with a 5Ah battery it lasts far longer than I expected. Top marks again Makita.

Look carefully at the new features of this tool. It is basically fantastic. The X lock design for the quick stop. This grinder is strong, the handgrips were made for a strong hold, safe and to be steady, comfortable. The guard that shifts with one button very convenient, no tools required at all to change disc or guard. Worth the money, best grinder and design so far.

Love the x-lock function but wish there was the option to purchase the skin with a battery as a bulk set.

The x lock makita grinder is a good grinder, but the cutting discs are very expensive for this product, if the discs was at a reasonable price it would be fantastic....

Sent back the X Lock didn't work for me and not backward compatible.
