Excellent tool! Came with complete charger, battery and worked well. Full charge lasted for 3 hours work. Awesome tool! \n\nSeller is awesome too! Shipped fast to Lazada. But was sitting in Lazada Warehouse for days until I follow up many times. Lazada shipping is worst! Very poor service!

Like any saw, the saw is only as good as the blade itself. If you invest in high quality blades for tough demolition work, this saw will work like a charm. Its heavy to hold and use and has great padding. Benefits are the quick blade release, which makes changing from one blade type to another and the orientation a breeze for those hard to reach places. One drawback using this tool for long periods non stop is the vibrations can amount to your arms feeling weak and sore for prolong use, so I suggest you take regular breaks to help with quick recovery. Great for cutting all types of material so you would not expect nothing less but high quality only from Makita.

I used to use an alligator saw to cut up pallets, the blades would go blunt if it hit a nail. This saw blades on the Reciprocating saw keep going even with cheap blades. The alligator saw was 240v so having a fast cutting battery saw make a big deference.

Purchased this piece of equipment this morning to expand on my Makita 18v brushless tool lineup and used it to cut 4X4 fence posts. It's very powerful and yet quite compact and not to heavy (unlike my Bosch 15 amp corded reciprocating saw). Battery runtime on a 4 AH Battery is very good considering how much power these use. Vibration is kept low and the balance is perfect for one handed use on vertical fence posts. As an extra bonus, it even came with 3 blades in the box. I like the two speed gearbox, the convenient rafter hook and the bright LED work light. All in all a great addition to my existing tools and well worth the money
The stores don't carry the chargers. If you already have one (like I did) make sure it's the right one. Makita changed the chargers batteries to look almost identical, but be incompatible. Nothing but the model number on the bottom will show which you have. Online they don't tell you the charger and battery model numbers.I have BL1815, but it has to be BL1815N. I'll be returning mine in the morning, never turned on. Might be a great tool if I could try it.
bought this to replace my corded unbranded saw. This is heavier but nicer to use. Its got loads of grunt and being cordless you don't have to be mindful of the cable..eats batteries though when using on tough materials or for extended periods of time (15 toi 2o minutes) even 5AH ones...but this is no trouble if you have spares charging and chraged..
Good tool ,a bit heavy, purchased this to replace an existing Makita saw.Hope the blade holding mechanism works better than the last one.Like the two speed motor, easy to cut metal and to line up a cut.
Too early to say but if the saw behaves as well in the future as it does now, then it will be another great buy. Ever since I decided to upgrade my tools to Makita I've never had any regrets. Just wish they did an 18volt belt sander. I can't find one anywhere so I presume they don't do one.
This is a great saw that managed to take apart a complete pallet on one 5 amp battery. Well balanced, compact and very powerful. Only thing of note is it gets extremely hot along the shaft and gloves had to be worn. Absolutely brilliant tool and highly recommended.
Quite a powerful saw, fast and almost vibration free. It replaced a Bosch Keo which I used to cut small branches but it became useless when the built in battery needed replacing, but that was not possible. I used the same rough wood blade in the Makita that I had used in the Bosch Keo. I thought it was blunt but the Makita cut through the wood with it quicker than the Bosch Keo.
