Makita HP332DZ - 12V Max Brushless Hammer Driver Drill Skin
The HP332DZ Combi Drill features Makita’s brushless motor technology. Brushless motors are virtually maintenance free. They are far more efficient than a brushed DC motor. As there is no brush to cause friction against the motor, your battery saves power giving you a run time up to twice as long. As expected, this tool has all the necessary features required by a professional user. Once fitted with a 10.8V battery the HP332DZ will provide you with masses of power. The overall length is only 168mm and weight 1.3kg, making this model compact and ideal for working in confined spaces. Makita’s CXT (Compact Extreme Technology) uses powerful 10.8V slide batteries, featuring high capacity cells. They have multi-contact terminals to ensure stable contact even under extreme work vibration conditions. The slide battery fits easily into the tools and chargers. They have a high level of structural strength as well as having built-in protection to prevent overload or over discharging. This is a body only tool supplied in a cardboard box without batteries, charger.

I use power tools a lot at work & home & appreciate a nice to use tool when I get my hands on one. This little drill and it's DF332DZ non-hammer twin are a delight to use. There are cheaper 10.8v Makita drills:- the very recent 333 nearly as compact model, which is a good drill, and the original 331, which is mechanically similar but more bulky. They're a bit less powerful and run more slowly too. However the moment I pulled the trigger, I knew this was on a different plane. It is powerful, fast and tactile. I don't need it, but am buying another anyway. Obviously not for heavy jobs. You need 18v tools for that. But easily as powerful as the more modest ones, and so much lighter. You can get quite a lot of work out of the little 2A.hr. batteries too.

Everything was fine if it received without edge damage. There is no packing damage that means the seller shipped damaged item or he didn't inspect it before dispatch.

I bought this for my DIY wood projects. Does the job perfectly and with good finish. I even tested on metal and I was happy with the performance

this is a compact and powerful tool, good for working in tight spaces.
Great compact drill ideal for those awkward tight spaces delivers plenty of power would definetly recommended this drill
This small drill-driver feels like an extension of your hand, more like a hand tool than a power tool. For most woodworking in a shop this has plenty of oomph, and so easy to manipulate, unlike a construction-level 18-volt tool, which also has its place. Home Depot should expand the 12-volt range from Makita so we aren't forced more often into Amazon's arms.
