I bought this rope three weeks ago, and have already used it for 2 different, six hour climbing sessions with my buddies. This was my first rope to buy, hopefully not my last. I am extremely pleased with the quality, and it works perfect for what we are doing. I strongly recommend this product.

The 9.8 is a perfect balance for all of my outdoor climbing, the 60m version is my personal favorite when not doing a multi pitch and in need of some sick single pitch crag climbing. Whether you're running up a thought provoking lead or just setting up a top rope for some outdoor gym vibes, this will do it all. The rope runs perfectly through any belay device I've used with it (ATC, Grigri, Alpine guide, etc.) The rope is very durable and is super safe/capable of taking some massive whips, but of course the goal is not to fall! But haven't doubted my safety at all when falling on the rope. Love the bright color of that really stands out from the rock during any climb.

This rope is simply amazing. Not sure what Mammut have done but it feels magical. It is soft and feels nice to hold. It run so smoothly in a Grigri that you do not use any effort to feed out rope to your lead climber. Even to fall on it feels nice, had some good soft catches. I have used some other brands that are functional but too stiff, and this Mammut rope is a game changer. This is my fourth Mammut rope, and they are just great. Today I do not buy from any other brands except Mammut, they are that good. Hats off to you guys!

Even though it isn't dry treated, the price is less than half of most dry-treated ropes and 60m is plenty for most routes, even for linking some pitches. This is my go-to rope for gym lead, outdoor sport, rope solo, and trad and it works great for all four. This rope was also used by my crew as a fixed line to get our third party member up Royal arches and it worked great with our progress-lock devices. I also appreciate a rope with an easy-to-see middle mark, which this rope has. If you are looking for an affordable workhorse rope, this is it.
Been using and abusing this rope on sport, trad and top rope. Handles great, runs through belay devices smoothly, durable so far, bright color. Even use it for multi pitch. Had a sterling rope before this but happy with the switch for the price this rope was more affordable. Wish I would have spent a little extra and got the dry version to use it for ice climbing but besides that I’m very happy and will be buying another Mammut rope.
Bought 70m to split into (2) 35m pieces for my indoor gym rope. Love the color and being duodess makes it easy to identify what 1/2 I’m using. But most importantly this rope feeds great through my GriGri and multiple other ATC devices. The rope does not seem prone to tangling, it is very supple and very easy to clip. I am will be interested to see how it holds up over the next few months. My 9.5mm infantry protect has held up well, but was much stiffer when new.
This is a great rope for tbeginners, or anyone else. It’s solid, brightly colored, and works great for dry climbing. The only downside is the center market, which is simply black marker (not atypical, but I’m always hoping for a better center mark). I will say that the center mark stands out better on this bright orange than some of my other ropes. I received a lot of compliments on the color. It also runs smoothly through an ATC or GriGri.
I love Mammut ropes. I currently own 4 that are in active rotation. So far I have had no durability issues, however on my previous non duotec ropes the middle marks have been prone to washing away extremely quickly and Mammut does not approve any product for remarking, I would like them to do some testing and figure out a product to approve or release their own product as a functional middle mark is key! I am very excited to use this duotec rope as it will solve my only complaint with Mammut ropes. This rope is smooth handling and supple, knots are easily tied and come undone when you want them to. Catches are smooth and they feed superbly in all of my devices.
I will likely be retiring this rope within 5 months of receiving it. Not out of excessive use, but normal Trad wear and tear. I know it's not exactly built for Trad, but TR didn't seem to flow easy with this rope either. The sheath seems to be slipping on the core with excessive fraying and many weak core spots. I use my gear heavily, but compared to a BD rope I have used in the past, this rope is not worth the money. Save extra and get yourself a BD rope or something with a better sheath.
My second purchase of this rope because I’ve loved the quality. Runs smooth and very durable. Holds up well after months of outdoor use. Does not kink as much as some other ropes I’ve tried. Never had any issues with the ends, and loved for trad and sport across the country.
