The included directions were for a different product. Wasted $15 buying a tool that I didn’t need. Thank God there’s a YouTube video that explains how to assemble it. Otherwise, great stand.

I am an opera singer and I frequently will have two or more scores that i'm using at a time this easily holds two large vocal scores or my Niko Castel book and a vocal score at the same time. Great as a conductor stand. Sturdy construction.

Pros: Great size and construction seems very good. Solid. Worth the money.Cons: It's made of tin. Magnets will not adhere to it. My old copy/music stands were the real deal where I could position a script exactly in my line of sight and it be held in place with a small magnet. Can't do that with this stand.

We bought this for our Church pastor. He needed something for Wednesday nights he could spread his study material out on while he was teaching. It works great, plenty of room, very sturdy and stable, good quality. It should last for years to come so it was a good investment.
This stand also has a 'pocket' behind the main portion, it is smaller than the main platform. I am a musician alright, but the reason I purchased this stand is not for music!!! I put it in front of my exercise bicycle and put my laptop on it. It is study enough to trust the platform not to wobble and dump my laptop on the floor even when I put my laptop and a textbook on the top of the stand. I like the pencil tray although I have put a few small cups in the pencil tray to hold the pens/pencils/highlighters upright so I can more easily reach them. The pencil tray is quite deep and narrow and when I am riding my exercise bike its difficult to get my fingers in-between the two 'lips' of the pencil tray and literally dig around for my pencil or highlighter. The pencil tray is quite deep and narrow and when I am riding my exercise bike its difficult to get my fingers in-between the two 'lips' of the pencil tray and literally dig around for my pencil or highlighter. The only way the mfg could improve that "pencil" tray---aka baton tray, is to make it wider; because obviously the lip at the bottom needs to be deep for conductors and their large musical scores.
Had the idea that I wanted a wide stable stand that could hold and store music along with a laptop. Single leg stands are too easily knocked over with the weight off a large laptop computer. This was the best choice I saw and upon receipt, was not disappointed. A little pricey but worth it. Some assembly required with basic hand tools.
I teach a general music class using both guitar and piano. When guitar is in hand I need a platform to hold music and my tablet that controls our smart/vision white board. All the needed tools, capo, picks, tuner, tablet, sheet music and if need be a coffee cup holder ;) all fit on there. Saves time running back and forth from my desk to the music stand. It is my one stop shop for the things I need to teach music class.
With the right tools, this was easy to put together. Type the model name into YouTube, and you'll even find an instructional video to help you. I was able to tighten the hardware to suit my needs-adjustable with a little effort, and tight enough to stay put with a heavy load of music. This stand is big and bulky by nature, so it's not terribly easy to transport, but it's the envy of other musicians once it's in place and holding all my music with ease. I'm not a conductor. But I wanted something stable and sturdy that wouldn't collapse when loaded with binders full of music. This is it. Wide enough to hold scores or to share for duets.
It's a perfect conductor's stand, but I actually place it to the side of my keyboard to hold sheet music, method books, and, in the rear storage, my binder with sheet protectors. I considered the stands with lightweight extensions, but they can't handle much weight. My only wish is that the unit were foldable to make it easy to take with me.
I use this Manhasset M54 Music Stand for traveling church services. It is wide enough for our guitar music leader to put his songbook at one end without disturbing my own Bible and speaking notes sitting on the rest of it. It is a portable music stand, not as stable as a permanent podium, but it is much more stable than a single leg music stand, with much more room.
