I have someone in the family who's been suffering constant severe cough after recovering from pneumonia. To deal with this we decided to buy some Manuka Honey250+ from our local supermarket and the result was amazing compared to the prescribed medicine from the GP. We then decided to buy the stronger Manuka 540 to achieve quicker full recovery and after reading lots of good reviews about Manuka Doctor we ordered 2 pots of 500g MGO540, after using for 3 days and half the cough was coming back and got really bad quickly as if we stopped using Manuka. We stopped using Manuka Doctor and started again with our local supermarket Manuka and the result started showing again just after around 2 hours.We can't say this honey is fake as we have no strong evidence of that but ... I suffer from Angular Cheilitis (saliva gets trapped and builds up in the corners of your mouth. and the warmth and moisture create the perfect conditions for fungus to grow causing cracks and sores) due to wearing a CPAP device at night. I started taking Maunuka honey again after having Covid last year. I was on a a jar of 100 MGO and recently started my jar of 140 MGO Manuka Honey. I generally take a teaspoon a day. I had a bad fall a couple of weeks ago sustaining three open wounds which required admission to A&E. In a short space of time two had healed and the large skinless area on the back of my hand, in spite of setbacks and areas of pus, has now almost closed over. It would normally have taken weeks of dressings. I can only think that the honey had something to do with it.
I usually order 140 to 250 to take 1 to 2 teaspoons with cider vinegar first thing in the morning. Manuka Doctor honey is so delicious I have never bought any other for nearly eight years now.I bought several jars of the 30 recently to give away as presents as there is no difference in taste between the low or high numbers. Purchased today and was somewhat worried when I was told the best way to consume Manuka Honey is straight from a spoon in the jar. (I’d always put it in tea/porridge before). Little did I know that heat kills the amazing qualities.Hesitantly I bought it and put a teaspoon in. Oh my god it’s delicious! I was worried it would be super sweet or sickly as other honeys have been but it’s completely different. Smooth tasting, thick but slid down my throat super easily.It’s expensive (very, expensive). But if you get it on a deal it works out OK.I’m only day 1 but wondering where this honey has been all my life!
