A perfect wash to solve problems

HELPED CLEAR MY BREAKOUT (paired with Mario Badescu drying lotion) in two days. I have oily skin and so although this wash is a little drying, it doesn’t dry it too much. Nonetheless, while using you should tone and moisturize because it tends to dry out skin. I only use this when I’m prone to break out to be preventative especially during “that time of month”, have a current breakout, had a really dirty day, after removing makeup. This is a wash for issues so when none of the above apply I use on of the other Mario face cleansers that’s best for my normal skin routine. The photos I attached are ONE DAY results (paired with the drying lotion at night).

Best for Combo/Oily Skin

This stuff is great! I've been using it for years as recommended by my Dermatologist. Very gentle and effective to not lead to additional breakouts on my sensitive skin. I feel like so many of the bad reviews are people not understanding how products work or how this product works. This product will not work for you if you are mostly dry. And will backfire on you, causing other skin issues and leading you to think it's not working, when really you are using the wrong product for your skin type. This product is pretty gentle. So for those saying they didn't feel "clean" afterwards, it's because you're most likely use to bad products stripping the natural good oils from your face. Consistently go back to it

Honestly I've tried so many other cleansers over the years and this is the only one that consistently gets my acne under control. I have oily combo skin and this is consistently the one one that works for me without additional side effects. Now this is not a makeup remover and if you're prone to skin build up you should use an exfoliant paired with it as it can dry your skin out (but I prefer that). I literally use an Aveeno lotion and this paired with a light exfoliant every few days and as long as I'm consistent my skin is perfect and clear. I have other skin issues that this product can't address but they're minimized with the use of this product.

Disappointed

I used this for awhile and then started getting clogged pores everywhere on my face. They aren't pimples but bumps all over my face that are the same color as my skin. I am still trying to get rid of the mess it made to my skin.It doesn't foam whenever you are washing your face so it just made my face feel slimy; probably not the best description, but it just never felt clean. Then the pimples started and it was everywhere. I eliminated all products and this is the one that was doing it. I would not use this is you have combo, oily, or acne prone skin. Definitely just get medical grade skincare and safe yourself the trouble or having to fix your skin.

It has significantly reduced my breakouts.

As of the last few months I've been having more breakouts than normal. Usually, I'll get maybe one or two pimples but lately it's been 4-5. It's mostly been on my chin and my t-zone area and it worse around my period. I decided to give this a go because I have used it before a long time ago and as far as I can remember, my skin was quite clear then.after a couple weeks of using this, I can honestly say it's been doing it's job. Again, I usually break out right before my period but this time, my acne was significantly less than what it was before. I only had one major blemish but it cleared up pretty quickly. Light feeling deep clean

Great product for daily use. Non-drying. Removes makeup well. A little goes a long way. My skin is sensitive but I do not react. Skin feels clean but still plump after use, none of that tightness. Very happy with this product & recommend for anyone needing a gentle daily cleaner.I don’t have pimples or acne so can’t comment on its antibacterial properties.

Love several MB products. Not this one.

This wash breaks out my skin. I went back to my regular school ash (which is so expensive I was looking for an alternative), and my skin cleared up. I tried again. Same thing. Takes several days but the acne shows up. Gave to my eight year old (should have returned it now it’s past when I can). And her skin (chin and around the nose) broke out with acne after using for about a week! I experimented with it a couple more tries (going off, skin clearing then trying again). Same results each time. Ance appears again. I guess it works for some. Does not work at all for us and actually creates problems. I can not recommend. Stuck with a unopened bottles. I suspect some people’s skin breaks out when exposed to salicylic acid, and other people have the opposite effect.

The (cheaper) holy grail of acne cleansers!

I have used this cleanser for many years now, and even though I have trialled other brands, I always return to this one. It is very affordable, gentle on the skin, goes a long way, and seems to help with my breakouts every single time I return to using it. I think the fact that it is cheaper might make people think that it doesn’t work as effectively, but I promise you that it does! At least for me anyway. It also removed makeup well, including my tubing mascara and eyeliner. Love Mario Badescu products!

In LOVE!! My friend is the one who told me about Mario Badescu products, and I’m forever grateful! Keep in mind that the Acne Face Cleaner can and will dry your skin out if you use it too much. I personally use it every other day to every three days. On my days that I don’t use the Acne Face Wash; I use the Glycolic Foaming wash! Absolutely love that one! Makes my skin feel absolutely amazing and clean, I usually use the Enzyme Cleaning Gel that they have right afterwards and it makes my skin tight and AMAZING! Also before bed when I notice I have acne appearing I put a DOT of Drying Lotion on my affected area. MY FAVORITE PRODUCT is the DRYING LOTION... it’s not a lotion don’t let the word confuse you, and make sure NOT TO SHAKE the bottle! Keep the pink sediment ... MoreIn LOVE!! Use a Q-tip or- what I use... chopsticks😂 I cut chopsticks into three’s.
