Mario Badescu Witch Hazel & Rosewater Toner 236ml

Absolutely love it-amazing value! This was the same price as a drug store toner. I have been trying the k-beauty technique of layering toners and I’m very impressed, look it up, you can use any toners you like. With that being said, I decided to try this because I wanted a different type of toner that was a little gentler than the glycolic acid, and I’d never tried witch hazel before. The rose in this smells lovely and is soothing to the skin. I notice an immediate glow up when I use this and I’ve made it part of my daily skincare routine. Average, I guess

As someone with oily skin, I'm not a huge fan of toner. While I do wish I could just eliminate all the oil in my face, I would like to do so in a way that doesn't irritate my skin. I received a sample of this toner (and since it was FREE) I thought, yea why not use it and then review it. First time I used it, my skin was red, and it burned a bit. Used it later that night and on the second application, my skin did not burn or turn red. It has no smell and is white instead of a light pink as pictured above. Guess it's just an average toner except it does not burn, which then in turn does not make this toner average.

Great toner for sensitive skin

Upon first application I thought this was going to irritate my skin as there’s a slight tingle but it hasn’t affected my dermatitis at all. Very pleased with this and love the price. Will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a gentle toner that really cleans the remainder of make up left on the face. I compared the effectiveness to other more expensive brands and this works way better.

Has helped my skin a lot

I bought this a month ago and this has really really helped my skin. my pores have been way less clogged and i’ve noticed a few things. - skin has gotten way less bumpy. - as a rosacea victim it has helped my rosacea alot. - feel great on the skin. at first i was skeptical about this as someone with sensitive skin and this toner having some harsh ingredients. it honestly is all about not overloading your skin and this is such an amazing toner. i’m honestly obsessed and will definitely repurchase.

I have been using this for almost 2 weeks now, morning and night and can already see the difference in my skin. It makes it feel alive and has drastically reduced redness. I will buy this forever from now on. Love the smell also and the way it leaves me feeling so rejuvenated. I suffer with dry skin and this has already helped that issue also. 100% recommend

Pleasantly Surprised!

I knew Mario Badescu was a good line. I remember first hearing of it from Martha Stewart. So I’m not surprised by how good it is, but by what it achieved.I had run out of toner and bought a sample size of this.For sometime the skin on my face felt like sandpaper. Nothing improved it from prescription retinols, peels, heavy moisturizers. Was diagnosed with rosacea and and sebhorreic dermatitis a few weeks ago, and rx’d azealex cream, which mildly improved the roughness.Then, I bought a sample of this toner and after first use, the roughness was gone. My skin feels hydrated like it did when I was younger, upon waking from a good night’s sleep. Do you know that dewy feel? Read me if you have oily skin!I use this twice a day after Mario's enzyme gel cleanser, apply Clinique serum (clear gel with the purple pump for wrinkles and fine lines, their new product. Can't remember the name, sorry! ), top with Bioderma "mat control" pore refiner mixed with Bioderma "mat control" mattifying moisturizer. I'm *almost* 29 with oily T zone and pore issues, this regimen has been WONDERFUL after just FOUR DAYS. My skin stays clear, sans oily t-zone, all day in summer heat. Dermstore has a fabulous tinted sunscreen that makes my skin a mattified porcelain dream! Smells great, extremely HYDRATING

I love this toner so much! It smells divine, and it is super hydrating. I also love how affordable it is. I recently applied the toner after using MB's Flower/Tonic mask, and that was hydrating enough, but this was the cherry on top! My only complaint is the slight tingling/burning sensation upon applying. It fades, but at least I know it is working so that is important to know for anyone with sensitive skin.Highly recommend to anyone trying to find a new toner to add to their regimen.

Sticky & Fragrant

I give 1 star by default, second star is for marketing/consumability. Did this product make me want to buy/use it, yes. The third star is for effect vs claim. I gave the star because it has appeared to cleanse my skin while retaining a "moisture barrier" (more on that in a sec). The fourth star is for feel/usability, how do that feel and is it easily able to find its way into my daily regimen? No. In short, it leaves a film that as other reviewers have put it, feel like your face grabs onto anything and everything that touches it. This does eventually subside by about 75% but it takes about 10 minutes to get there. Once you're at that stage, you're left with a smooth yet tacky surface of skin. For the record, the rose water spray gives me this same "sticky film" so it may be that. Last star is for ingredients. While I enjoy nice scent in my life, I don't very much enjoy the effect that the fragrance in Badescu's most popular products. They've left out any alcohol from this product, so my non-professional opinion is that these fragrances have nothing to evaporate them and are leaving behind the worst parts. Alcohol helps bind the scent to skin and then evaporates rather quickly, while the fragrance (broken down at this stage) slowly decomposes on the skin. While this one has potentially to be a great item, the fragrance, dyes, and the idea of having to dedicate my time to a needy product all just makes me want to trade it in for something else.PS, not sure why this listing says "online only" as it was clearly on the main display in my local ulta, along with the lavender toner as well.

Sticky residue + heaviness

I unfortunately didn't enjoy this toner one bit. I found it very sticky, and left a residue on my skin which I hated, and had to wipe over my face with a cotton pad and water. I got through half a bottle just to use it up but hated it. I have tried other witch hazel toners and have had no problems with them, however, unfortunately, this one doesn't work for my skin type/tone.
