My first Marshall and let’s say I’m not disappointed! The sound and feel of this is absolutely stunning! You can also use 5 effects at the same time. Change your tone up on the fly with the Marshall Gateway app. This is the 25 watt and I was actually thinking of getting the 50 watt version absolutely no need. More than enough for me at home! It’s the best £165 I’ve spent in a long time and as always PMT we’re great! Can’t recommend enough. Very pleased.

After reading scores of reviews and watching online demos, I gave this a shot and am generally glad I did. It gets criticized for not sounding enough like the amps it models, and especially for the presets sounding poor.I'm only about halfway through the 100 presets, and would say there are ~10% that sound pretty darn good as is, about ~20% that either sound so bad they're unable or are so special-purpose (looper, delay) that you'll rarely use them, and the rest fall into the category of "sound pretty good if you manually tweak them".All highly subjective of course - Amp excels at Marshall tones (no surprise) and while it has a few nice clean tone presets, the 'American Crunch' group that attempt to emulate Fender sounds are rather shockingly poor.Strong ... I have been searching for the right amp for him to upgrade his sound and the Marshall Code 25 was on my shortlist along with the Fender Mustand LT25 and the Vox Valvetronic VTX20.The Marshalls price reduced just right and made it a compelling buy. My favorites are the '59 Plexi, JTM 45, Bluesbreaker, DSL and even the American "Fender" tone is doable. I'm not really into High Gain, but I love to crunch out so of course I had to play with the JCM 800. The amp itself is fairly easy to understand once you read the instructions and basically has the round about effects of any modeling amp these days. (reverb, delay, chorus, distortion, overdrive) It's really easy to dial up a good tone no matter what amp model you try or are in to and even with the small speaker, this amp sounds sweet. Due to the closed back, the amp can sound a bit boxy and closed in but to me that just adds to the warmth and the output makes up for that. Sooooo, Marshall tone lovers on a budget, this is the perfect amp. Marshall tone snobs who still can't understand that Modeling amps have come a long way in quality, keep replacing your tubes in an amp you probably can't turn up past two in your bedroom.

I've sampled and bought a few Marshall Amp modelers and modeling amps for practice over the years, but never thought that they captured the Marshall sound very well. When I heard that Marshall themselves were finally going to put out a modeling amp, I was intrigued. It was love at first sound when I tried one out. I bought one at GC and took it home. Dialed in the perfect sound for me and my practicing sessions suddenly leveled up in pleasure and accuracy to my stage setup. Also there's a cool USB interface that sends the sound digitally to your laptop and sends whatever sound your recording software outputs back to the amp, also digitally. Very addictive. I played with it for awhile, but there's not much that you can't do by just twiddling with the knobs on the amp itself. The effects are really good and it's fun to dial in different amps, both preamp and power tube sections. Highly recommended.
I really wanted this to work better. Mainly because, for the size of my "man cave," the size and power are ample. However, at times getting/maintaining a Bluetooth connect is near impossible. I spent about an hour yesterday trying to connect -- first the iPad said we had a connection, but the amp would cancel the Bluetooth function. When the Bluetooth function is displayed, it won't connect to the iPad. Since working the selector switch for the many presets available is difficult when standing or sitting on a stool, it became too much of a pain in the butt to work this thing. The sound is good -- powerful and clear as you might expect from a Marshall, but without my own presets or those available on the MyMarshall app, finding/selecting from the options available on ... This is a great little amp.Bought for my 14 year old son who has been learning for 5 years now.The amp is plenty loud enough for practice and jamming with friends.The gateway app is also great, the downloadable and saveable presets are perfect when practicing as allows to switch between tones easily when practicing different songs and a massive incentive to practice more when you have the right tone for the song.Also sounds great with his existing pedal board and a clean preset.This Wass defiantly a great addition to the collection.
the Marshall Guita Combo Amplifierit's range of capability for any guitarist is greatbut more outstanding for those new up and coming guitarist like my son whom i purchase the amplifier for.He loves it and uses it quite often.I myself love electric keyboards in which i recently purchase one as well at Sam AshSam Ash has a superb variety line of products at exceptional prices.Can't go wrong at Sam Ash.
I got this amp to practice. I liked at the features it had (amp models, effects, headphone, blutooth, etc). It can seem a bit overwhelming at first but once you delve in to the amp, it makes sense. It is easy to change the presets. You can change all sorts of parameters per effect. Which is why I say it can be a bit overwhelming but that helps you create the sound you want. I liked the sounds of the amp models with the exception of the '50s British. Good clean and Overdrve tones overall. I used the blutooth for audio and had no problem connecting or reconnecting (Samsung Galaxy 10E). I downloading the Gateway APP just so I could review it and not really thinking of using it. I used the blutooth for audio and had no problem connecting or reconnecting (Samsung Galaxy 10E). I downloading the Gateway APP just so I could review it and not really thinking of using it. It connected and reconnected with out issues for me. Once I used it, though, I saw how useful it is. It tells you exaxctly what amp model you are using and what the setting are. Same for effects. You can check those things on the amp control panel but you have to check one at a time. You can change preset, amp, effects, cabinet/speaker, tube model with the app. I am really happy with my purchase and knowing that I will not have to buy pedals for this amp.
