This amp is so good. The clean channel has a lovely full tone and the overdrive settings are fantastic. In addition the tone controls actually give a good range sounds which is not something common to all amps on this price range. The 5 effects cover all the most common sounds .I have paid 4 times as much for less versatile amps.Just great value

Great especial FX and Reverb. Plus that distinctive and unique Marshall sound makes this light weight and small amplifier great for practicing. You can either crank it all the way up. Maintaining its quality sound or plugging in your headphones. Anywhere you are.

Got this amp after trying it in store back in February. It has a great sound, and is really fun to explore new tones. Unfortunately, it is incredibly fragile. I didn't use it very often, because I had another amp and no outlet space. This became my main amp 2 weeks ago, after my other amp's power cord was damaged, and it only lasted a week with regular use. The volume and master knobs always stayed at noon, and there were no issues until I used the mp3 imput. I finished playing along to a song, and the amp was fine. Once I unplugged my phone from the mp3 jack, the amp started making a loud, microwave like sound anytime the amp was on, and while concerning, the amp still played... for about a day. Bought this as a Xmas present for my 14 year old Son. He absolutely loves it. Sounds great with his Fender Strat. The effects sound amazing also. Highly recommend. Great price in my opinion and of course excellent service fromPMT.
Pros: Nice clean sound, several different crunch or distortion sounds. Solid build with protected corners and a cool Marshall look. Many different ways to tailor your favorite Marshall sound. Reasonably loud with many speaker impedance choices. Cons: Hard to see the knob settings. Hard to find the right replacement knobs with the D slots if you want to change the original ones out. . Heavy at 50lbs. You may need to install wheels. No cover included. You will need the $150 6 switch pedal to be able to actually access the different channel choices by stomp box. Classic Gain channel "Red" is much louder than Classic Gain channel "Green". Don't understand why. Shared EQ's for 4 different voicings is never a really ideal method I guess. All in all a really decent amp at ... MorePros: Nice clean sound, several different crunch or distortion sounds. Solid build with protected corners and a cool Marshall look. Quality:The intput jack is plastic, so you'll need to pay attention or you could easily break it stepping on your cable. -Not the kind of thing I wanna worry about.Overall:The clean channel is tolerable, but the Crunch and the OD 1 and 2 sound like black water. I didn't care for any of the effects either. You'll be happy for a minute least, just to escape the moddulation that bleeds through each effect until you find the one and only sweet spot, but guess what? Even that tone gets old quick. The reverb dial allows you to switch from Studio to Spring modes! Not much difference between them- so if close your eyes, and turn the dial, you won't give two wet farts which side you're on.
The Marshall Mr30cfx is a very versatile amp that gives shimmering cleans through to heavy metal and all in between. It looks great and the effects are excellent.its loud enough for small gigs.I've tried modeling amps and got fed up with spending more time fiddling than playing, this is simple you dial in the sound you want and save it.It's well built and the package is well worth the moneyAnd most importantly you get that Marshall sound
The MG30 is the best amp under 200 euros. It’s a perfect practice amp, with more than enough sound settings. Brand name ”Marshall” says more than enough for the sound quality. For home, garage or small gigs with the bend BUT with restrained drummer. It’s an "in-between" power amp – it doesn't have the power to gig or rehearse with a band. Very portable and easy to use. The reverb can be applied independently of the other effects, and your settings are programmable. I give a five stars for sound and value. I recommend the MG30 as a starter amp for beginners or as a practice amp for veteran guitar players. If you want to get out the most of it than Marshall PEDL90008 4-way Footswitch is a MUST HAVE!
30w may seem small, but this really packs a punch! Excellent choice for playing in the house. Has headphones & phone sockets if you like to use them, works perfectly. EQ is exactly what you need. 4 separate channels across clean & gain, great for saving your preferences for different playing styles. Overall aesthetic and look of the amp is great too. Definitely recommended.
Overall:This amp was so bad Marshall should be ashamed. Its the most shrill sterile, tinny amp I have ever heard, and that saying alot for solid state. My sons grandma bought him a no name 10 watt amp with a 6 inch speaker that sounded better than this. Do yourself a favor and go with a Boss Katana 50 watt for a little less than this. Im not sure if some of the people giving this a positive rating are newer layers or what. But there are far better solid state practice amps out there. To be fair I bought this from elsewhere, but I just want to steer people clear of this amp anywhere I can.
