Bought this and one of the mini stack 10" bottoms. Almost didn't buy it when trying it out because it sounded so tinney and weak thru marshall 10". Reviews said it sounded like a a big boy Marshall so I took a chance. Got home and hooked to a 2x12 Egnater bottom and it roars. Clean channel get nice grit over half volume, lead channel sounds like a big brother Marshall. Pedals make it usable for all venues except clean country stuff, but who buys a Marshall to play country anyway? I've been a tube guy forever but this sounds like a nice tube amp. Get one and chuck the marshall speakers. A footswitch option would be nice .

I picked this amp up just over a year ago and already have issues. The volume started to fade in and out randomly and the mp3 input no longer works. The cable input has begun to loosen and requires tightening constantly. Pretty average amp all around, nothing special. If you want to stay in the same price range look past this amp.
Bought this amp 3 days ago and I like it! I have 3 tube/combo amps in my gear. I decided to get one because of it's light weight, reviews here at MF and youtube. First, it's very versatile. You can dial in on different tones from classic to heavy or however you prefer it from the EQ knob and gain knob. The clean setting is pure marshall! I love the fact that this amp is very friendly with your effects pedal- I use boss pedals. The speaker is great and it gives you a clear and nice sound. I use this with an eq pedal. I would probably try to use this live--mic'd of course.
I just got this little amp, and already, I like it. I've played with it in the studio for the lsat couple of days, and I've already used it to record a couple of new tunes. I really love having the smaller amp to practise, and recording at much lower levels is working out great. I do have a bunch of pedals along with a tube pre-amp plugged in front of this amp. With this, I find I can pretty closely emulate the full stack for the recordings. Although the "Dirty" channel isn't too bad, I don't have much use for it. I run everything through the clean channel. That's all I need, and it does deliver a great Marshall tone.I am a long time Marshall amp guy. Clean channel worked just fine with the sound being amazing with the messing of the EQ. I bought this amp 2 weeks ago and can't say enough about how happy I am with this. I got tired of lugging my rig around just to be in the same room as my wife. I bought this just as an easy amp to bring upstairs and play on...well...this is now my favorite amp. It has the tone and punch of Marshall and an incredibly affordable price.
This amp provides very authentic Marshall high-gain sounds at bedroom levels and beyond. The suggested tone settings that are included in the manual help get you started at getting some tonal choices right out of the box. The clean channel is good for use as a pedal platform and the O.D. channel provides some complex sounding break-up at around 2-3 'O clock if you play with your guitar's volume control. And of course if you dime the gain it's prety much as one would expect; super saturated. I also like the fact that there are no FX.
I'm a firm believer that an AMP should do what an AMP does, play the sound. I don't really like those amps that have built-in effects because it gives a much more difficult sound adjustment than your actual clean signal. It has 2 sounds, Dirty and Clean, 3 EQs and a whole lot of music. Ideally, if you are like me and want your effect pedals doing the effects and your amp doing the amp, then get this AMP!
