Excellent feel. Shorter scale makes the playability much easier. Perfect craftsmanship as always from Martin. Has a bit more focused sound then the 000 without loss in volume. The 00 is the way to go.

I've owned many guitars over the years, the best being a Guild D-60SB. I've always wanted a Martin, but the price has held me back. The "special" price on this guitar and the 0-interest financing finally made owning my dream guitar a reality. This is an absolutely beautiful instrument with a wonderful voice. I'm looking forward to a lifetime of enjoyment with my 00-28.

I tried 10+ guitars before pulling the trigger, and was shocked by how beautiful / loud this guitar sounds (esp. considering how small the body is). Very compact yet the tone of this guitar is another level. I was debating between this one and 00028 Modern Deluxe, but ended up going with this one since I couldn't forget the sound of this (although I did prefer the look of MD). Great for NYC musicians living in a small apartment, and if you are to check out the local store, look for Andy. He's the best!
I love this guitar. The size is perfect for a small person like me. And yet, unlike half-size, it has the room I need on the finger board to be able to play without my fingers being squished. It has great sound. The tone is nicely balanced. I'm really glad to have had this one suggested to me. It has been a pleasure to play.
This little guitar is wonderful. It is actually surprising how good it sounds strummed with a flat pick. This thing can really do it all. There is definitely not as much bass as a dreadnaught but that is the trade off for a comfortable body size. However this guitar doesn't sound like a toy like all the other brands small guitars. The sound is very rich and it has a lot off wonderful overtones that you really notice when playing chords. The setup out of the box was perfect. Action is just right. I was worried about how this guitar would sound since I am used to playing larger guitars but I am so glad I took a chance on it. With Martin you aren't just paying for a name.
Truly one of the highest quality guitars I have ever played, and I have owned and do own many high end guitars. The PLEK machine did a beautiful job on this one, as it plays effortlessly. Sound is much better balanced than my D-28 or Gibson J-45, with not quite the low end rumble. Comfortable size, looks amazing.
Can't say enough about the great service I get from Shawn Fitzgerald and the entire Sweetwater team. Everyone who plays knows a Martin is a great guitar and this one is as well, but, I normally never buy an acoustic guitar on line, I want to feel it, hear it. No worries when buying from Sweetwater, you get what you expect and more.

I can't say enough good things about this guitar. The mids are truly incredible and it simply defines the word chime when speaking of Martins.
