This bowl was a substitute for an older Mason Cash bowl that I had chipped, which was part of a set of three. This is a bit lighter in weight, without the turquoise interior, but it's a beautiful bowl. It's a pleasure to cook with special pieces, right? It's a nice size, but just a smidgen wider in diameter than my old one so it rocks a bit when "nested". The shipping was fast and the packaging was flawless. Someone knew how to protect it, and clearly wanted it to arrive in one piece.

Delighted withnthis bowl which I bought as a replacement for mum's.We found hers in the attic where it has spent a couple of decades. The glaze was bit unhappy looking, with a couple of cracks. On reflection I felt I was better to start my own tradition.Used this one on "Stir-up" Sunday and now have 2 × 8" and 3 x 2" cakes singing (M&S Aged Brandy) merrily in a corner of my kitchen.Customer service was excellent, website easy to browse and delivery prompt.I made a double Delia batch and it was a bit of a squeeze, but managed well. The bowl stayed in place beautifully while beating the eggs into sugar and butter. All in all most impressed!

It is a replacement for one I inherited from my Mum recently which I discovered was crazed. It is actually larger and was perfect for making Christmas cake, shortbread, etc. It doesn’t stain or take on smells like plastic/melamine bowls or impart metallic tastes like aluminium or steel bowls. It also remains cool. I love it.

Lightweight, made in Portugal (NOT UK)
2 September 2024

I have more experience with their older bowls which are sturdy stoneware and are great. For many many years, they were made in the UK but now it seems that most of their products are produced in Portugal and China (not at all what I was looking for). It is such a shame when companies just look for the cheapest fabrication to make as much money as possible. Also, the 'cane' colour is different from older models. This one looks like a dirty khaki rather than beige/yellow. I will be returning it.

Beautiful bowl. Came quickly and extremely well packed, so no worries there. Huge capacity and heavy enough to sit still while mixing with the electric whisker. Was able to mix 3 Victoria sponges mixes in one go 24oz flour, 24 of sugar, 24 of margarine and 12 eggs. No problems with splash back as high deep sides keep everything contained. Lip on edge of bowl does give a comfortable grip if you need to lift or angle your bowl and curved bottom to bowl means no corners and your whisk can move through the mixture smoothly this also makes for easily getting all your mixture out into your tins if cake baking and easy cleaning at the end. I had one of these bowls from my auntie for many years. I do think the older ones were even heavier and thicker, maybe stronger too. ... MoreBeautiful bowl. I had one of these bowls from my auntie for many years. I do think the older ones were even heavier and thicker, maybe stronger too. But this updated version is strong, however I have managed to chip one edge with the back of my mixer when creaming a cake mix so watch out for the depth and be more careful than I when working near an edge. Also, you may need to prop up your mixer on a chopping board or something when at rest with the whiskers over the bowl, as it is obviously quite high. Overall, well made and wonderful for large mixtures. Also using for soaking gammon joints or marinades with meat cuts in advance of cooking, great for prepping lots of veg in water too, perhaps in advance of a large family roast dinner or similar. Rising bread mixture in the airing cupboard etc. So it has many uses. Recommend just be careful with the bowl edge and harder utensils.

I was curious about a mask with the side windows. When trying outside of the water, everything looks good. The view angle is wider than on my old, normal mask, mask sits well. The mask has just right size for me Im a 1,83 m man with a normal face. I would like the mask would be a bit bigger . It has to be on the right place on my face. If it is a bit higher or lower, it would then push on my nose. But I can still use it like this. When going under water, then what I see from the side windows is with wrong angle and things are not where I expect them to be. Perhaps I will get used to it. Good thing is that the mask did not get steamy during 1,5 hour of training and I did not have to do any special operations to it. Good thing is that the mask did not get steamy during 1,5 hour of training and I did not have to do any special operations to it. I only spread some tooth paste on the glasses and left it this way for couple of hours. Then I just washed the mask and it was ready to go. So overall the mask is good. No problems with leak. Only the size thing and the side vision angle problem. But I guess all the panoramic masks have this angle problem. The tuba, which came along is a good normal tuba, if you like tubas with breathing out valve system. The valve did not leak . This tuba has a protection against letting water in. When the tuba is fully under water then there is the system that closes the tip. So no water comes in.This tuba has the flexible part between the mouth peace and pipe. When swimming fast, water presses on the flexible part and mouth muscles are under tension to keep the tuba in the mouth. I find this irritating. Thats why I prefer the old school tubas. But other than those problems I find this set is a quality product.

These are beautiful bowls that I have used before. I bought this bowl as a present for my husband who loves to cook. It arrived in tiny pieces, packed with a few bits of paper in the bowl in a large cardboard box with no fragile sticker. The company offered to send me another. This also arrived in pieces…packed in the same manner.I asked for my money backThe customer service team was very helpful and apologetic.I’m going to try again in person and not trust this gorgeous item to bad packaging and the mail carrier.

Nice Bowl - 'not too heavy or too big'
4 February 2023

The bowl is nice and not too heavy even though my precious bowl from the same range was a size smaller. It is a good size and value for money in the sale. The only problem was that there was a small chip on the rim. Unfortunately, this wasn't seen when collected as it had been covered by the sticker for sold items. Then it was too late as I had already peeled off the sticker off the base too and had began washing it for use. These bowls are quite expensive and would therefore be better if packaged in a cardboard box or wrapped in thick paper to prevent damage. Especially, for those who use click and collect. At least if buying in store you can check the item before purchase. Therefore, next time I need a replacement bowl, I will likely buy it from another store as ... MoreThe bowl is nice and not too heavy even though my precious bowl from the same range was a size smaller. Nice Bowl - Little too light weight and thin
1 May 2024

I bought this for my wife for her Birthday, she has been wanting one to make sourdough bread. It was a last minute purchase and the delivery was super quick and came way before they estimated which was great. However, after only a few uses, the "Chip Resistance" failed to live up to the standard. After washing in the sing and putting in the drying basin, it slid a little and nocked the side of the sink and a large chunk immediately chipped off the side. Little Disappointed.

Thank goodness this classic Mason Cash bowl is still made
3 February 2024

Mason Cash bowls are simply the best and no cook should be without them. Hand mixing in them is a joy. The new line is pretty but, for me, nothing beats the traditional beige and cream. I am lucky enough to have two, one this size and one extra large. I have been using these (English-made) treasures for fifty years and they still look and feel like new. So, a message to Mason Cash: please don't abandon tradition.
