I got this for a key to an office outer door. It is mounted outdoors exposed to the elements. The key safe itself may withstand weather, but its interior is not well protected. Replacing old push button keysafe. This one is actually big enough to fit a mortice lock key and flat key, although an optional internal hook would still be a nice feature as you have to position the keys just right to stop them getting in the way of the door hinge. Security is good - even if box ripped off the wall you would need some heavy equipment to break it open. Comes with 4 good quality mounting screws.Setting the code is really easy and being on wheels rather than buttons you can have repeating numbers if you choose, thus increasing the number of combinations compared to a mechanical push button keysafe. Weather door operates smoothly and gives the whole thing a smart look. For the money I don't think you will find better.

Seems sturdy. I mounted this indoors, on the door jamb of my condo unit, so I cannot address how it would hold up outdoors when exposed to cold and wet conditions, but it is fine for my needs. I wish the instructions had included the recommended size pilot hole to drill for the mounting screws. I ended up drilling 9/64" pilot holes in the wood for the screws included in the package. I have no idea if that was the best choice, but it worked. I did not have a bit extender so I had to screw in the bottom screw by hand. But I am pleased with the box, and it has worked fine during my testing.
