Plug in to power and connect to the HDMI on the TV and it was good to go.It didn’t specify in the manual about the bass adjustment but it was easy to figure out. When you click the bass button the sound bar will flash with the amount that it’s on, out of the 5 levels it goes to.Example: click bass, if it flashes 3 times, it’s on level 3.Overall, this product did exactly what I was looking for and I’m genuinely impressed, enough to advocate for it on a review!

I’ve been using it for five days now, and I can say the sound quality is pretty good. If you’ve tried the JBL Party Box 100 or other JBL SB 550 models, you might find this one a bit lacking in volume. However, I’d recommend it for movie watching and for casual music lovers. If you’re someone who enjoys listening to loud music, like trance or DJ mixes, this might not be the best choice for you. In that case, you might want to consider the JBL Party Box or something with more bass.

I really like the sb 550 it has excellent sound.This is something that I really needed. I'm using it in my room with an older flat screen. Now watching movies is very exciting and the vocals and the instruments and the bass all sounds nice and clean. I like the fact that it has a bass Gain button. I like the fact that it has a voice button, and a movie button and also a music button. I knew the fact that it was JBL that the music was going to be excellent. And yes it is. I would have gave it five stars but it has one issue that bothers me. I'm using a Google Chrome stick with YouTube, Netflix, Amazon prime, YouTube TV. So the issue I have once I change from YouTube to Netflix at this connects. If I go from Amazon prime to Netflix it disconnects the Bluetooth. Being a bit of a tough grader, I would give it 4.5 stars if that was an option, for the following reasons:PROS:- Outstanding bass - perfect for action movies, really makes them thrilling- Crisp sound quality, powerful sound - as expected for a JBL product- Set up was quick and easy, pretty much automatic.- Sleek design and low profile soundbar. I have placed this soundbar in my living room, and have been pleased with the sound clarity this thing packs within. The movie experience has changed for me completely as the wireless sub woofer delivers the perfect bass and can be placed anywhere in the room. The HDMI ARC connection made the setup very easy, and when connected I do not need to handle 2 remotes (1 for TV and the other one for soundbar). The TV remote is enough.Apart from connecting to TV, the ability to connect to mobile devices via bluetooth also comes handy. Over the past 2 weeks, I have been playing surround music throughout the day to have a cafe-like experience.I would definitely recommend Cinema SB550 soundbar to all movie lovers out there.

This is the perfect soundbar for anyone looking to upgrade their 1bedroom metropolitan living room. Small enough to not get in the way while providing a massive improvement to TV’s internal speakers. The sound here even performs better than previous bars I've owned that occupied twice the floor space. The subwoofer provides nice punch and bass response without causing your building’s foundation to rattle. The soundbar itself has great high end response and a respectable mid section that a lot of bars tend to lack. This is a great choice for anyone renting an apartment that wants to enjoy a colorful spectrum of sound for TV and music without breaking the bank on a heavy and cumbersome system. Highly recommend!
