Until recently I was a "wet shaver" and bought a £25.00 rotary electric shaver. Big mistake - it was useless. I have now bought the Panasonic ES-LV97 with the self cleaning recharger. It is brilliant. The morale - buy the most expensive shaver you can afford and you won't regret it. I can thoroughly recommend the Panasonic ES-LV which was on offer through Amazon with instalments.

I have Parkinson's disease so ease of use is vital because of shaky hands. I have two other shavers that are hard work and take me ages to shave. Enter the Panasonic! I wish I had one years ago, so much closer and more comfortable a shave. It is truly a winner as it is quick!

I have an excellent shaver, expensive but a quality product. I have very sensitive skin because of a condition known as X Linked ichthyosis. Though not severe, wet razor shaves can cause problems, thus electric shaver very easily glides over my face and gives a class shave. Thank you

Bought to replace Braun shaver, previously only ever used Braun and a few Philips models over the years thought try Panasonic for a change WOW what a difference, quality look feel and craftsmanship. Electric razors typically suffer getting a close cut on top lip I find not the case here, the head glides effortlessly around all contours of face and the foil design allows you to get into the tightest parts of face. I'm never going back to other brands now tried Panasonic.

I don't have particularly sensitive skin and I have always moisturised after shaving, so my skin is in pretty good nick, albeit somewhat saggier than when I started shaving half a century ago! The first time I used it I used my usual shaving gel, as recommended when you first start dry shaving. It was extremely comfortable, and I was very satisfied with the result. As it was experimental, and not everyone finds them beneficial, I bought a cheap one. I was very impressed with the results. The shave is, if anything, even more comfortable and the results around the bottom of my neck, which proved to be the most troublesome area, improved markedly. I also tried missing the odd day and found the shaver equally as good if not better at shaving two days' growth. I use a face scrub/exfoliate twice a week to make moisturising as effective as it was when wet shaving. After a month I can say I'm very happy with the shaver, very satisfied with the results, and my skin looks and feels better than ever, especially on my neck, as all the scar tissue caused by wet shaving has gone.
I have owned many electric razors over more years than I would like to mention, I have many Panasonic items but never one of their razors. I can honestly say this is the best razor I have ever had, Shaves real close and is not as noisy as my previous razors , I love the charging/cleaning station. As usual another quality product from Panasonic.
I have been using this shaver for just over a week, I usually only shave twice each week but have used this every other day as a trial. I have tried different shaving methods both wet and dry, all produce a really close shave.It will never be as close as a razor but it's close enough for me given the convenience.The cleaning and charging station is very convenient though noisy at the beginning of the cycle.I'm very happy with my purchase.
Ive had a much more basic Panasonic electric wet/dry foil shaver before. It had three blades and was good but I used to get cuts from it occasionally. This used to lead to ingrown hairs. I thought this was just the way it was with foil shavers. This new shaver (ES-LV97) is completely different and well worth the additional cash. If I had a bit of stubble with my old shaver it would take a good few minutes to shave my face properly. The ES-LV97 is completely different. This shaver allows me to shave my face in half the tim. In addition to this the closeness of the shave is phenomenal. My skin feels so smooth (it feels like Ive used a manual razor). I have always shaved with a razor and shaving gel/foam. In recent weeks I have been edging towards changing to an electric shaver. Having now used this Panasonic for several days I am really pleased to have made the change to electric. The Panasonic ES-LV97 is an excellent shaver.
I bought this because of the reviews and the technology. I've never spent so much on a shaver. I'm so disappointed in it I feel sick of wasting that much money. I can't believe the amount of times I have to keep going over and over the same place and I don't even have that much hair! It doesn't give me a smooth shave and the shaver seems to get really hot and loud, my much cheaper Braun shaver (unfortunately broken) did a much better job
