I purchased this stove early this year and was using it as an outdoor stove in a shared house when the main stove is busy. However, it didnt even last over 6 months!! Please do not buy this. I dont know how to even claim for warranty!! If you want to do yourself a favour go to Kmart and buy a similar one for half the price and atleast you know you can walk in into Kmart and they will look after you!

This is my 2nd one that i have owned, while staying in a studio apartment. Life span of my last one was about 8 months of being used every day. What more can you expect for $60 and that you can take where ever you please and plug into any power point and i guess the way each different person would use it and maintain it would predict on how long it would last. I really love this portable cooktop and will always want one to use or laying around for an emergency :)!!

I'm very disappointed with it.It takes a VERY long time to heat up and an equally long time to cool down. I find it very difficult to regulate the cooking.
Bought this item recently to have outside in the patio at family events due to it's portability and love it! It heats up quickly and maintains the food on it in a warmed state quite easily! The stainless steel construction is a breeze to wipe down and keep clean. The indicator lights are easy to see and the knobs are easy to access being at the front of the unit! The unit is quite solidly built so can see this lasting for quite some years. The four rubber non slip feet have a good grip on a table or counter top so no problems with any accidents occurring due to the unit slipping or moving with hot food on top.
The cover plates on control knobs were loose in the box and wont stay in they just fall out if inserted in centre of the knob but this does not effect the operation of the unit. The left knob is quite firm to turn I have only used the bigger plate on the left a few times however the nos on the knob have almost worn off and I have only ever wiped the unit with a damp sponge at this stage. I have not needed to use any spray cleaners as I have not used it much yet ! A good buy for 46 dollars, that is what I paid for it. However heat is unevenly distributed across hot plates. For example using an infra red thermometer, the upper part of the hot plate differed to the lower portion by a factor of 150 degrees on medium setting, much greater on higher temperatures. Even cooking would be difficult, if you don't frequently move the food.
Works well when heated up, hot plates difficult to clean due to fine grooves, rest is easy clean. Overall, it does the job for me, so I am relatively happy with the product.
Works well, we bought this to replace a Tiffany that lasted 7 years. I hope this lasts as long! There's an ugly screw head at the upper rear of unit that makes the cooker look a little unfinished. Manufacturer could have devised a hidden clip but I'm just being picky. Very compact unit, fits in tight places, ideal for caravan or spare kitchen cooker when the gas runs out.
