I use Maxima Ultragreen line to make casts for fly fishing. The product is ideal because it is available in various weights and casts can be assembled to cope with prevailing conditions and species. The size of spools available allow the roving angler to carry small spools while larger quantities are handy to load up spinning reels etc. At home.

I have been trying to find a really good fishing line for the last 3 or 4 years. I have tried everything you could think of except for this line. I have used maxima ultra green line for over 60 years. Many different pound test. My most recent purchase was a 4 pound spool. The spool of Brand New line keeps breaking on me and I am very, very disappointed in this current product.
Just bought this line, never used it before. I wanted to try something different. Had a heck of a time just trying to get it on my reel. As soon as I took the rubberband off, it just started unspooling itself off of the spool. Definitely NOT super soft and limp like it says on the package. I fish a lot of tournaments and go through a lot of line in a season, and this is the worst line I've ever spoiled up.
Nice and easy to use. Nice holder to keep it easily ready to access from boat or kayak. Colour works well for bream fishing too and gives confidence that fish won't easily cut your line. Green colour looks like is more like the weeds in river or lake bottoms for bottom feeders.
I first discovered Maxima when trout fishing with my dad. He hooked a 3lb trout on 4lb maxima in fast flowing water. The trout managed to wrap itself around a submerged branch. The fish stayed on the line for about 10 minutes before me managed to net it. I was really impressed with the strength of such light line and have not used anything since.
Great line. I understand the fishing guides on the Smith River will strip a client's reel and load this line if he/she shows up with any other line. Sure has worked well for me.

I choose to use MAXIMA Ultragreen for my light tackle. It is invisible in the water and I have less issues with tangles when tying dropper loops and loop knots. it is less likely to wrap around itself unlike other brands of line I have used in the past. MAXIMA Ultrgreen is my go to on all my 2000, 2500 and 3000 size reels for fresh water fishing, in particular 4, 6, and 8lb respectively. It has good amount of stretch and strength and more hook ups on the strike than other mono i used.
