Like diameter, strength, knots, colour and best of all durability. 30 odd years I’ve been using maxima for bream fishing in all situations from rocks, beach and boat it’s fantastic in all situations and just keeps reading them in.

Have been using Maxima lines since the early 1980ies .Never had any issues with line twist or breakage, good stretch and knot strength. Always used the ultragreen from 8LB to 30LB, whiting tailor and big jew with no problems.

Filled small baitcaster reel. Disappointed. very difficult to set up correctly. Thought would be better than braid. Fractured and broken easily with over runs etc. Removed and replaced with braid.

Been using Maxima line for some years now, and it has never let me down.I have found this product to be very good and reliable.I do recommend Maxima line, for through my experience with it, it has proven to be successful.So tight lines, and good luck in your fishing adventures.
Nice and easy to use. Nice holder to keep it easily ready to access from boat or kayak. Colour works well for bream fishing too and gives confidence that fish won't easily cut your line. Green colour looks like is more like the weeds in river or lake bottoms for bottom feeders.
It is human nature to think the latest offering is the best offering. Wrong! This is still the best - strong, easy to handle, invisible, good knot strength. Don't disregard this stuff or you can spend a bloody lot of money trying to find something as good, and guess what, you won't succeed.
I first discovered Maxima when trout fishing with my dad. He hooked a 3lb trout on 4lb maxima in fast flowing water. The trout managed to wrap itself around a submerged branch. The fish stayed on the line for about 10 minutes before me managed to net it. I was really impressed with the strength of such light line and have not used anything since.
Fantastic fishing line, ticks all the boxes when it comes to fine diameter, super strong,, lot strength, abrasion resistance and virtually invisible in the water. Best of all it catches mor fish . The only line for me.
Tried a spool of this and the maxima chameleon. The ultra green is way softer, and breaks a little easier than the chameleon. I wouldn’t buy this again for any walleye application. For half the price Tri-XL is probably the better selection. Did real well for knots, and there is virtually no memory thou.
I choose to use MAXIMA Ultragreen for my light tackle. It is invisible in the water and I have less issues with tangles when tying dropper loops and loop knots. it is less likely to wrap around itself unlike other brands of line I have used in the past. MAXIMA Ultrgreen is my go to on all my 2000, 2500 and 3000 size reels for fresh water fishing, in particular 4, 6, and 8lb respectively. It has good amount of stretch and strength and more hook ups on the strike than other mono i used.
