Great lip pencil! These caught my eyes from Tati's recommendations but i didn't buy them right away as i still have so many lipliners. I bought these recently while i was looking for a cheaper dupe for the CT liner and bought this in Almomd Rose and Dusty Rose. Wow they are so creamy and glide on like butter! I love that you don't need to sharpen them but at the same time this packaging style also means there is a lot less product than the traditional sharpened pencil liners. I love Dusty Rose better for my skintone but not really are very pretty and eat too use. The liner is a lot creamier than what i am used to with my liners but i don't hate it. They last really well on the lips too and still blend well! I am not sure if i will repurchase as i think i may still ... MoreGreat lip pencil! I am still glad i bought these though on sale and recommend them to those who prefer a really creamy liner and hate sharpening.... Show more

**THIS IS NOT THE COLOR I OWN** My color was not an option—I have #100, which is clear. I’m just really getting into lipsticks, stains, etc and wanted to try a liner I could use with any color. Clear?! PERFECT! I can use this liner with literally any shade and it helps me shape my lips before applying actual color to them. I bought this when it was on sale for buy one, get one half off so I think I paid around $5.00-$5.50 for it? I would’ve bought it for it’s full price, I just happened to be getting another maybelline product at the time. 🙂 I think it’s a great product, especially if you’re new to lip pencils, lipstick, etc. It also has a removable sharpener on the opposite end of the stick so you can sharpen the liner up when you need to. Super convenient! Now that I’m getting more comfortable with lip colors (not just glosses lol) I would absolutely try this product in a different shade. I may go find a match for my red lipstick samples I received from #Ulta recently, now that I’m thinking about it. Great price, great product, completely recommend!... Show more

Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Pencil in 125 "Magnetic Mauve" is a creamy, long-lasting lip pencil that provides definition. Its retractable design eliminates the need for sharpening, making it convenient for on-the-go use. The formula is designed to sit comfortably on the lips, preventing lipstick from smudging or bleeding. Plus, it can be worn alone as a matte lip color. At an affordable price, it provides excellent value for money, delivering excellent color rendering and durability.... Show more

Good lip liners are not the easiest things to find. They need to be firm enough to define a precise line, but creamy enough not to drag along the lips, and that's just for starters. Having used the Color Sensational in Rose as my go-to for a natural, my-lips-but-better lip liner for years, I can safely say this liner lives up to those criteria. In addition, it doesn't smudge, it extends the wear of any lipstick I wear over it and prevents it from feathering. The colour payoff is excellent, which always tempts me to fill in my entire lips with the liner for a matte nude lip. However, I find that this really works better as a liner - it glides super smoothly to outline the lips, but filling them in takes a bit more work, and personally I'm not keen on poking my lips ... The key feature of this look, apart from the dewy skin, is perfect, pouty lips. I achieve this with my Rose liner and lip balm, and that's all it takes to look polished and put-together. This lasts through at least one meal before I need to reapply. The pencil format is annoying, as are the limited shades. However, these are great quality lip liners at a great price point, that does everything a good lip liner is supposed to do.... Show more

I own three shades of this lip liner. I had to buy them because these are the only ones that I have been able to use and are actually lining my lips. Others is just like a rough pencil that leaves no trace of colors. But not these. They are creamy, and soft and durable. I like the color range. And the small size too as they can fit anywhere. I will buy more colors just because I don't see myself using any other brand or type of lips liners.... Show more

Amazing pigmentation and blends so well. You can wear it with literally any lip shape and it looks great. It’s also pretty cheap for make up which is always an absolute win. Whenever I wear it I get so many asks about my lip combo. I usually wear it with the color pop snitchery collab with the brownish reddish color(very specific I know). It’s such a great shade. One thing I will say negatively about it is that it’s definitely not a super long lasting product and will smudge against glass or whatever you’re drinking from. I would recommend it to friends for sure.... Show more

Guess who went on a shopping spree?? ME! I already had shade 130. Dusty Rose and 135 Palest Pink in the Maybelline Color Sensational Shaping Lip Liner. As you can see, I just purchased 110 which is Purely Nude and 115, Totally Toffee. Dusty Rose is a great everyday lip liner for the clean girl look. I throw on my lip liner, and add Maybelline's Baby Lips lip balm, 05 Quenched (check out my review on that product). Palest Pink is more of a fun color. I line my lips with it and lightly color my lips with it as well, then top with my Baby Lips lip balm. Nice thing about these liners. Is that the bottom portion pulls out and has a sharpener so you can get a defined lip line. Looking forward to trying the other two colors!... Show more

Like the Shine Compulsion Lipstick from this brand, I just find this okay. I like that it’s a retractable liner so there’s no sharpening, but I think it’s kind of strange that this is a shimmery lip liner. I personally don’t care for baby bubblegum pink on my skin tone, so this and the lipstick aren’t something I would really gravitate to for that reason either. NikkieTutorials showed a shimmery lipliner from another brand on her channel that she would use in her cupid’s bow to add a little extra highlight in that spot, so I might try that with it, but it just doesn’t really seem like something I would reach for too often. Usually I like my lip liners to have a little more grip and pigment to the formula, so they really define the lip and keep products from feathering, but this is is very balmy and “slippy” like the lipstick and I just don’t feel like it would do much of what most people expect from a lipliner. For a lightweight, moisturizing, balm-like lip product that is meant to kind of be put on with minimal effort to get some shine and hydration (that’s how I see the shine compulsion), I don’t really understand the need for an extra step of lipliner. It just seems like it should be more of an effortless product and one that I wouldn’t want or feel the need to take an extra step, like applying lipliner for. But that’s just my opinion. It’s def not a bad product and for some of the richer shades, it might be nice to have a lipliner with a more slippery type lipstick like the SC, but I still feel like the lipliner is so slippery itself that it really wouldn’t help much. It’s pretty much the Shine Complusion Lipstick, in lipliner form. So if that’s something you want, I don’t think it’s a bad product, it’s just not something I would personally reach for over other lipliners in my collection! :)... Show more

Not true to color and weird on lips
The lip liner is VERY hard and dry so it is difficult to apply. You have to drag it against your lips. The color of the product is also much lighter than the base of the pencil, so it is deceiving. This liner also melts and becomes runny when you apply gloss, making it useless as a liner.....it gives a melted plastic look. I would not buy this again and regret this purchase.... Show more
