Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder 05 Fair

I was recently introduced to the concept of applying my setting powder over my primer and under my foundation for a more flawless look. I’d only utilized that method for a few weeks, wearing makeup 5 days a week, while using the Hudson beauty baking powder. Let me tell you. Formula matters- yes. It’s important. HOWEVER. Packaging impacts your ability to actually get to and utilize the product and Maybelline locked this one down, 100%. The actual powder itself knocked it out of the park too. The Hydra powder was so much harder to get even coverage since I use a gripping primer, but the Maybelline version glides on SUPER easily, making areas like my nose and forehead (both oily and acne prone) seamless and coveted before I even go in with my foundation. Amazing product. Well thought out packaging. And a steal for the price point and amount you get. I honestly am so annoyed I never thought to try this sooner, and will absolutely be purchasing on my own as soon as I run out.

I am in love with this product. I love the matte+poreless liquid foundation as well, and I got this in the same shade (classic ivory). I should note, it is a tiny bit lighter in color than the liquid (which for me was fine). I would say it’s light/medium coverage, but buildable. I was looking for a powder foundation bc summer in my hometown is sweltering, and I have oily skin. This product is incredible! I absolutely love it. I wish like anything that it was around when I was a teen. It’s very easy to use, so very beginner friendly, but also extremely effective. I use it with some concealer and it looks great. The applicator is great, although I do recommend going over it with a big brush just to make sure it’s all smoothed out. And btw, it’s great for oil control. ... MoreI am in love with this product. I really like this powder! It gives me a super smooth airbrush finish. This photo of myself is not edited or filtered at all. The only thing I find is the shade range is limited and leans on the yellow side. I can personally only use this when I self tan. It is a full coverage, especially when used on top of foundation. As long as you are aware of that, keep that in mind when using, then you will be fine! I apply a sheer foundation then use a small amount of this to add a little coverage and an airbrush finish. Set with a generous amount of setting spray and gently pat in with a damp beauty sponge to further the airbrush effect/slightly sheer out or fan dry to maintain a fuller coverage with a more skin like finish.

I got this product after seeing a YouTuber recommended it for dry/dehydrated skin. The powder was very smooth and fine until a lot of setting powders. Though it is a finishing powder, what surprises me was how long it lasted. I’m not usually a big fan of finishing powders mainly because either the coverage is patchy or my oily, dehydrated skin starts breaking up the makeup and looking oily by noon. However, this powder actually has lasted all day consistently giving me mochi skin! The coverage also is great. Not too cakey or chalky, but just right. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for an affordable powder that won’t dry out your skin and last all day with the little extra oomph of coverage

This is one of the best setting powders on the market. But there are a couple I like just a tad better. The difference is so miniscule though. This is a great drug store setting powder. The finish is matte and it really helps makeup stay in place and look better for longer. Some people compare it to Huda's loose setting powder and I put them up against eachother head to head. The Huda one is a little more finely milled, making it less detectable on skin. But this is close. If used sparingly it gets the job done without looking cakey. I found it works best by using a glowy setting spray on top to get rid of the powdery look. It's definitely worth it's weight, but I prefer others so that's why I gave it 4 stars and not 5.

I have medium skin tone with warm (yellow undertones) . Earlier bought Medium-Deep - yellow toned but two shades dark for me as well as Medium (pink undertone) . This is the perfect shade with the right undertone for me. This powder has been raved about and I certainly find this to be the best amongst the drugstore ones. Finely milled, no scent and doesn’t alter my foundation shade. It sets foundation very well, doesnt look cakey/powdery, doesnt oxidise and lasts long. It’s best applied with a very light hand using a brush to avoid looking cakey/heavy. A couple of negatives - it does settle into fine lines if one has dry skin (need to really moisturize prep the under-eye specifically) and it does tend to break up over the T-Zone after 3-4 hrs. This is the best loose powder i have ever used! This product taught me that high end brands didn't necessarily mean it was the best because thisssss existed and was muuuuuuch better than any high end setting powder i have eevr used but jn general it literally is the best i have ever used. Even how it sunk into my skin it was giving me Korean glass skin type of look!!! I was constantly getting compliments on my skin looking flawless and it was always because of this product. The best part is it neeeeever broke me out like how some high end ones did and it's so sad if its true that this has been discontinued because now I have to find something else that can match this level 😭😭😭 I don't understand why such a successful produxt would lead to being discontinued??? ... MoreThis is the best loose powder i have ever used! Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder is a very finely milled, lightweight powder that feels very silky smooth. It is a mineral-based formula that helps to control shine (keep my skin matte) while smoothing skin texture (pore blurring) with a hint of color. This loose powder provides the perfect finishing touch to my makeup base (foundation/bb cream). Being so lightweight, it is also great for setting under the eyes since it does not settle in fine lines and wrinkles. It is perfect for all skin types and works best for the oily skin gals.
