Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara Waterproof Very Black

In my opinion i think this is one of the best drugstore mascaras and easily bets many high-end brands. This is my go to when I want length and volume and when I want to draw eyes to my eyes. This wears well, doesn't smudge, flake or leave me with racoon eyes. Another thing I need(look for) in a mascara is for it to be washable and easy to take off. I used to get eye lash extentions and when covid hit and the shop closed they grew out and fall off but I lost a lot of my lashes and they were short, thin and brittle. I used Babe eyelashes serum and they grew back strong and long, thank God. But because of this I have a fear of losing lashes so I don't like to touch them or rug and tug when I take my makeup off. This is fabulous mascara with a great brush for 2-step application that doesn't clump (READ THE DIRECTIONS!). That said, I've had bad luck with this double pack from Amazon twice now. Had to throw away the second tube on my first order because I couldn't get any product on the brush. I received this second order on July 26. I opened the first mascara on August 15 and it seemed OK. I used it for the 4th time on Aug. 20 and got barely any mascara on the brush. Either the mascara tube was misfilled or the contents have dried up. I don't know if these double packs are designed for quick sale of old product, but having the same issue with 2 orders isn't a fluke. I've been using this lash sensational mascara for YEARS. This specific mascara is by far the best I've used. Always makes my eye lashes look long and fanned out and thicker. I've also used "Better than sex" mascara but it is very pricey and not something I would buy often but the lash sensational mascara is very similar and way more affordable and convenient, always under $10 and can be found in almost every store! The texture of the mascara is thick enough to hold the curl but thin enough to not be clumpy. This mascara creates the right volume and length that I like without needing to use a second mascara with it. One bottle lasts me about a year. I have found that only the waterproof kind works for me. My lashes go flat with the non-waterproof version of this mascara and I will not make the mistake of not getting waterproof again. The mascara stays on well and doesn’t create too much of a dark under eye. The only downside is that it is very difficult to take off even with makeup remover. Unfortunately BLINC doesn’t give me the volume on my thin, short eyelashes. When I tell you I searched and searched for a great mascara I mean it. And when I finally kept coming across this one and decided to try it. Really one of the best choices I made. This mascara goes on so so nice. It really adds volume and length at the same time. I usually don’t like how just mascara looks on me, but this one makes me love just being able to throw it on and look good. The packaging and wand on this I also really love. It really lets you get close to the lashes and just fluffs them out so nice. Also it doesn’t crumble off either, you can easily build this up and go in with two or three coats if you wanted. I will definitely be purchasing more of this mascara in the future, and I definitely recommend it as well. Yup, this mascara is a sensation. When I put on the first coat, immediately my lashes are coated. With a few swipes, my eyelashes look so long that it legitimately looks scary, like spider legs, so I usually do just one coat. However, the downfall of this product, although waterproof, may just be a little too waterproof. This mascara will come off, along with your lashes. This mascara will stick for days, so when you do a “no makeup” look the next day, you really still have a full coat of mascara on. To be honest, I actually like this about this mascara, it makes me feel better about myself when I think I have no makeup on. Great product, I shed a tear when I lost this mascara once but thankfully found it, and will always buy again.

This mascara is good. It isn't great though, not for me. Pros: it does give your lashes a bit of a lift, however it's not as dramatic and long as their sky high formula. it is long lasting and doesn't seem to smudge or flake all over. It lasts through a nap like a champ! Cons: I am not a fan of the curved brush like i thought I would be. Not sure if I am just heavy handed, but it seems like I am getting mascara on my eyelid much easier than when I use a straight brush. It's also not flexible, so keep that in mind. The formula is a bit thick, so there is a tiny bit of clumpiness, but it isn't terrible. Formula goes on well if you remove some of the excess from the wand before swiping the mascara onto your lashes. That's where the positives end for me. The formula doesn't seem to dry on my lashes. They look good after application, but 10-15 minutes later, my lashes are in little clumps. I don't mean there are visible clumps of mascara, but that there are several groups of 4-5 lashes across each lid. Also, after maybe an hour of wear, I start to see a faint shadow/racoons effect under my eyes. After many hours of wear, there will be specks/flakes of mascara on my face. Yet, oddly, it is nearly impossible to actually remove this mascara. Purchased the Lash Sensational Waterproof in black. I had heard several people say it was great. First it was not the easiest to apply due to the design of the brush. Secondly not much volume happened even with 3 coats. And lastly and this part was a complete let down because it was smudging just 2 hours after applying it. Not just a little but almost complete raccoon eyes and a lot of flaking. I use waterproof mascara because I have slightly oily eye lids and I work in an area that can get a little humid at times. I decided to give it one try a couple weeks later and the exact same things happened. Both times I primed my eye lids with eyeshadow primer and a little powder like always.
