A NICE POP OF COLOR WITH A MATTE FINISH

I received a sample of the Super Stay Matte Ink in shade 460 Optimist. The color Optimist is in the deep pink almost fuchsia range. The color is vibrant and striking. I would have liked to try another color that was toned down. Despite the color not being my preference, the color is impressive. The precision applicator does a good job with application. When I applied the lipstick, it was a little sticky at first you need time to allow the liquid lipstick to dry thoroughly. One application is all that I needed you do not have to go over your lips repeatedly. Once the lipstick was dry, it was indeed matte and I had moisture. The lipstick did not thoroughly dry out my lips which I appreciated. The lipstick will not come off with just water or even a little bit of soap. I went to the Maybelline website and there is a product called Maybelline Super Stay Eraser lipstick remover. I would have like to sample that product to see how well it worked removing the liquid matte lipstick. Vaseline works very well in removing this lipstick. Will this product last for up to 8 hours, if I had the opportunity to follow-up, I would happily update my review. The precision applicator that comes with this product I am not sure if it will hold up. I am concerned that the tip will break off, you have to be careful when pulling on the applicator the opening of the product is narrow. I had to pull the applicator out with a little force, once I pulled out the applicator you hear a pop. Overall, this is a good product, and this will be a staple in my makeup collection. Maybelline, if you read this review make the tube opening less narrow and this will be a solid product.

Best stay put lip product

Love it. The best I’ve tried and I’ve tried a lot! Stays put, last a long time…You can eat, drink, wipe your mouth and even sleep with it on. I have it in 3 colors.The only thing I had to get used to is it dries quickly, and feels a little like a mask and a little sticky at first but after it sets throughly it’s good to go. It won’t set well if you put more than one coat on…you really don’t need another coat and you need to take off the old product before adding new. You just have to take off the excess product from the applicator on the edge of the tube before applying.I’ve worn it for a couple of days at a time before taking it off…the only problem with that it can dry out and start flaking off but it’s only meant to be worn for about a day. Color is more orange than expected.

The color I chose (430 Meditator) appeared on screen to be more of a nude/natural lip color, which is what I usually lean towards when choosing a lip color. Even in person, it appears a little more neutral than the actual product and when you open and look at the actual product on the applicator, it still doesn't look as orange as it does when you put it on. I always steer clear of any orange-tinted color and choose a cool tint over a warm tint because I noticed long ago that orange was a really bad color of lipstick on me. So, I wish I would have chosen differently, but there weren't many options for me to begin with. I think I would have had a much easier time choosing a color in-person. I had to borrow my daughter's makeup remover (which I normally don't need for the types of makeup I use) just to get it off my lips. It is super stay, just as the name implies. It is matte. It comes in a nice, high quality tube and I love that the smiley faces matched the shirt my daughter was wearing. That was kinda funny and I told her, hey we match! I think this product was geared toward younger people, but it doesn't scream teeny-bopper either. I would recommend for those in their late teens and twenties. But you're only as young as you feel and if you like smilies and emojis, then this is for you,no matter what your age. Just keep in mind you will need makeup remover or mineral oil to remove it.

This is actually a lovely colour, much deeper than it appears on the screen which is not unexpected, but actually much darker than I was expecting from the name. Its a very dark pink, almost red. It has a lovely warm tone to it too.It went on easily, needs a little time to dry, but only about ten minutes or so. The shade is an absolutely beautiful matte and the light fruity flavor is pleasant, although short lived. The packaging is cute with smiling faces and the convenient sponge tip applicator makes precise application simple. However, once applied the lip color felt sticky on my lips and remained tacky all through the dry down process. An hour after application my lips felt tight and drawn, remained with a tacky feeling and all my fine lip lines seemed to be accentuated. The staying power is fantastic, it does wear for hours! I had to use a makeup remover to remove. Sadly, Super Stay Matte Ink just didn’t seem to be the right product for my thin, dry lips.
