A good compact Jack, but on assembly and first use, the Jack could not be lowered using the Handle with the Handle in the fully lowered / horizontal position as the Release Gears did not contact. Not a good situation to be in with a vehicle raised !! Was able to manually lower the jack using other tooling, but not ideal being under a jacked vehicle to lower !!! Once lowered was able to correct the issue by shimming / adjusting the Gears so they now contact during all handle angles. Not something you should have to do on a new Product.

I got this over 2yrs ago when on special. It's lifts my Ford Territory with ease and get used at least twice a week. A little tip is to wipe the grease off the cogs and spray with Lanolin grease. Not as much dirt will stick to them that way. I can't fault this jack.

Owned mine for a couple of years, though only used maybe a dozen or so times.. the bottom of the handle which turns the release valve sheared off. Cheap steel, poor quality. These only come with a 1 year warranty to it's money down the drain and nothing I can do about it. Avoid this brand.

I purchased 2, 1 for myself & the other for my son. The item looks good, that's about it, slow lift action, more force needed to jack up a 1405kg car Side lift only... I'm very disappointed with this jack, expected better from this brand, would suggest try before buying, that's the problem with ONLINE buying.
I bought this on a good special so I'm not really too fussed but if I had bought this full price I would be mad. Rotating the handle to build/release the pressure is really poorly made, you can see the cogs spinning but they don't mesh with each other very well resulting in the rounding the edges of the cogs. Couple more times using this Jack and I reckon it will break for sure, Good thing I kept the receipt.
I chose Mechpro basing on good rating reviews. Turned out it was a correct decision. The Jack is compact while it shows a bit short in length which limits the pumping-up angle. Therefore it may take you a bit longer to lift your vehicle up to the desired height. There is no rubber cap on the saddle but you can buy one somewhere else if you want, this is definitely not a problem. Other than those, the jack is working perfectly fine, light weight and reasonable price compared to other brands. There is one solution that will help to eliminate the impossibility of lowering the jack slowly, which has been shared by the other reviewers. That is you dont turn the handle clockwise completely to the end, but leave it loose about some degrees, then pump it up to the jacking ... MoreI chose Mechpro basing on good rating reviews. That is you dont turn the handle clockwise completely to the end, but leave it loose about some degrees, then pump it up to the jacking point, you will see the jack is still going up and then down when it feels the weight. Just keep doing that a few times, that means you keep pumping the handle but the jack will not go anywhere, but in fact it goes up and down as the locking gears left loose a bit. After that you rotate the handle clockwise completely to lock the oil going backwards (do not over tight). Then you can lift the jack as usual to the desired point. When lowering the jack, use two hands to fine tune (turn counterclockwise) the handle until you see your car is starting to go down. Hope it will help to solve your fast lowering speed.
I have owned this for about a year. It has had very little use and now it won’t stay up. I have checked the hydraulic fluid and bleed the air out multiple times and it still just drops back to home position slowly
Good sturdy trolley jack. Only niggle is that the release to let the jack down is quite stiff, so a vehicle which has been jacked up can't be gently let back down, instead it descends rather quickly.
Bought it on sale and well worth the money. Very happy. Was worried about it dropping too fast as mentioned in previous reviews, but if you know how to back it off properly, it's not an issue
Yeah, nah… This jack looks great and seems ok but it is impossible to release pressure gradually. This resulted in the vehicle dropping in an uncontrolled manner which is obviously unsafe. I would not be prepared to lower the vehicle onto support stands because of this. Fortunately for me the guys at Repco in Richmond sorted me out with another brand that works very well (Pro-lift 2000Kg).
