Thought I ordered 1x4 filter papers but 1x2 arrived. Can still make use of them but a little aggravating to have to do a second order. May well have been my mistake, but strange that review came up as 1x4.
A familiar product, still effective in an era of higher tech. I use them mainly for filtering home-made wine. Single use of course.
I use an original Melitta cone to make one or two cups and used to buy the size 2 papers which are no longer available, pleased to say size 4 does the job just as well. Never had one split and removes the grounds (and cafesterol) entirely.
.... the correct way to make coffee. I've been using Melitta paper coffee filters for about 27 years, so there are no surprises in my experience. It's the simplest (and healthiest) way to make coffee. Stick some coffee in the filter, pout hot (but not boiling) water over it, and there's your instant coffee. Delivery was a very quick four days, compared with two weeks, when I last ordered them directly from Melitta in Sydney. Filtered coffee tastes better, (much less bitter) and the filter removes harmful compounds that can increase bad cholesterol.
Glad to have sourced them online, as unavailable locally. A bit ironic however that they came inside a much larger cardboard box (which we composted) filled with ‘cheesy wotsit-shaped’ non-recyclable polystyrene! Considering the green credentials asserted by Harts of Stur in the enclosed leaflets, this was a surprise🤔
