I now have both the shallow and the deep Mepal storage bowls. There isn’t anything I can’t store! They’re absolutely bullet proof - withstanding the freezer and the dishwasher with no problem. I have them in black and I will never go back… to any other kind of storage bowls. I gave 4 stars because my most recent order arrived in a beat up old box, and the bowls were very dirty.

In the 80’s, my sister sold Tupperware, and as a result, I had a large collection of lidded bowls. They were great for transporting salads, or storing extra servings of a stew, etc. Something about the bowl shape made them more useful than my current collection of square storage containers or Pyrex bowls (whose tops inevitably warp in the dishwasher). I’ve had my eye on these beauties for a while. I’m very happy with them, and use them every day. My only (tiny) quibble is that the tops can be very difficult to remove, especially when frozen.

I absolutely love these tupperware sets. They are beautiful colors and I get a little endorphin rush every use. They are a heavy duty plastic and have held up to every type of food (no staining or smells) and wash (many dishwashing, handwashing, soaking sessions), and the lids are tight and durable. Nesting ability leads to easy storage too. Highly recommend!

Time will tell, i.e., many dishwashings, freezings, and microwavings later, but out of the box, these are terrific. Good looking and seemingly very durable. My older pyrex/glass containers were getting chipped/cracked, and their lids never hold up. So I'm hoping these will now go the distance.
I’m always needing food storage containers and I prefer the curved shape of bowls for a lot of tasks. I decided to splurge when I found these bowls and so I ordered them. They are awesome. Definitely worth the money. Easy to use, durable and adaptable. I’ll be using these bowls for many years.
I bought this set of bowls in light blue a couple of years ago. I use them and like them so much that I bought a second set when I saw these beautiful colors. The largest one is perfect for serving chips and then storing afterwards to keep them fresh, or for tossing and serving salads for just my husband and me, or for storing large portions of leftovers. I mix up dips, guacamole, and sauces in the smaller ones all the time. And it's great that you can see through the lid to see what's inside.
I bought these bowls a few months ago and I just love them. I try to buy products made in the U.S.A. These are made in the Netherlands so I gave them a try and I am glad I did. They are easy to store, clean and are so pretty. They are well made, the lids fit perfect and they are a good size for leftovers. I do want to order another set and one for my sister.
I was looking to replace my Tupperware with glass and found these. Not glass but nicer feel and look. Lids fit nicely and bowls nest inside each other. However, like all plastic they stain. I heated up some cauliflower soup in the microwave, cleaned the bowl out after eating, and then put it in dishwasher. Whitish coating on side. Scrubbed it off again and appeared to be off but again another round in dishwasher and still there. I like the sizes, look and that they fit inside of each other but plastic is plastic.
I hesitated to buy these bowls, due to the high cost, but they seemed to be just what I wanted. Which was a bowl in which I could both store leftovers and reheat in the microwave. The first time I used a bowl in the microwave, it was damaged with the white pitting that happens with plastic. I expect that with inexpensive sets, not one that cost over $80. Very disappointed, and I would not recommend this product. I am baffled by the many 4 and 5 star reviews. If I had this issue after ONE use, there must be more people who have had the same problem.
On a scale of 1-10, these Mepal bowls score way off the continuum for a 10++++! They are SUPER easy to clean (whether in the dishwasher or by hand), they hold a nice variety of food amount quantities in this set, the lids stay on securely and they look so nice! I had recently ordered a few different sets: 1-this one where the bowls are more shallow and spread out, and 2-another Mepal set where the bowls are taller. It's convenient to have this variety in bowl sizes to fit comfortably in different places in the fridge! I also pay attention to the materials used to make the products I bring into our home, and I love how these are BPA-free! Well done, Mepal! You have gained a loyal consumer in me! Thank you!
