I have tried a few cheaper after market remotes over the years but its worth spending the extra dollars for an original Merlin remote, especially of this design which is very robust and reliable. I don't know why Merlin ever went away from this design as I can't say the same about some of their more recent remotes.

This unit is so easy to program and install that even an 'unhandy' man like me could do it.It works so well I went back and bought another so I could have two at different locations in the garage. Great value for the convenience it gives opening the roll door.

Purchased to replace a 20 year old remote. Easy set up if you take your time but my purchase came with a flat battery which I had to purchase and replace to get to work. Check out light on remote works to check battery .

Purchased for our Prolift 230T. Happy with purchase. Looks exactly as pictured, is sturdy and easy to programme. I purchased two and will purchase more if needed.
Our toddler wandered off with one of our garage remotes so I picked this up as a replacement. Our local locksmith was selling it for twice the price. Husband programmed it in a matter of minutes.
But hit and miss actually. Reason being is the package had been stuck together with sticky tape. Obviously been bought and brought back. I assumed as it was still on shelf it would be as brand new.I did it via click and collect method so only noticed when we went to sync it. Wasn’t going back but wish we had :(
Absolutely delighted with these key fobs. Simply pressed the red learn button on the main control unit and pressed the key fob button to sync for each of our two doors. Great value too !
I bought this to have in addition to the remote that came with the house I'm renting. The one I got is almost as big as a mobile phone and really inconvenient. I researched and found this model is compatible with my garage door.It's so easy to programme the new remote in (YouTube video helped) and I had it done in minutes.Very, very happy that I can now use a remote on my keyring.
I've bought these in the past and they only lasted a couple of months. Let's hope these ones are better. The price is good. So far, they're fine, other than the batteries dying after a few days. Also, these were not available to buy on the shelf in store when we went in. We had to use click and collect, but were able to collect within an hour of ordering.
works well . only problem is the buttons are too small. when I wear gloves it is difficult to press. buttons are also numbered backwards which is not really a problem just can be confusing when doors are numbered left to right and buttons are numbered right to left. I like the fact that the buttons have a cover you can close. One improvement would be to make it with one large button and 3 small ones. Pairs easily to the door opener and instructions are well written overall and excellent product for the price.
