Super comfortable and sturdy. It was raining heavily the other day and the Gore-Tex kept my feet dry. I also swapped out the laces for some Salomon quick laces and they’re even better. A great shoe at a great price. I highly recommend!

These were okay. They held up alright but the waterproofing only lasts for the first hour or so of hiking. They were comfy and did not develop holes yet. The soles have worn down quite a bit though. I didn't put them through a ton of use (they were my secondary shoe this summer) though I think with a bit more use they would have started deteriorating a bit more noticeably.

I bought these as I work outdoors and need wet weather protection. I've had numerous medium to heavy rain days so far and my feet have stayed dry on every occasion. Very grippy too on all surfaces eg grass/bitumen/concrete/painted surfaces. Highly recommended if you need a comfortable shoe to keep your feet dry - I imagine they'd be great for bush walking in any conditions. I had another pair of Merrell shoes before these and these are heaps lighter - lighter and more comfortable than my everyday joggers as well! Great shoes and I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

I changed to wearing Merrell shoes two years ago. Prior to that time I would go through four pairs of runners each year. I now go through only one even though I am exercising more. The price and service from Anaconda was outstanding and was far lower then I've sen from any other supplier.
So far I have found these a great all round hiking shoe. I bought in mens size to get a bit more width. A low jogger style suits me. Have tested on a few harder hikes with no issues & have also worn as general jogger. I also like that they are Goretex Recently purchased another pair for work use.
I have worn the Moab GTX shoes for years, but then Merrell stopped using gore tex and the last pair was definitely not as waterproof. Decided to try this version that is back to using Gore tex. Don't know how they will last, but they are waterproof so far.They seem to fit a little wider than the older Merrell shoes. I have to play with the lacing quite a bit to get them to fit comfortably for me, and I never used to have to do that before. The length is good.

The cut was also a bit low at the back so my foot wasn't held in place as well as it could have been, given that I wear orthotics. Thankfully REI has a great return policy. Chunks of the soles fell off on my third hike. They had about 20 miles on them, with no extreme conditions. Before returning, I also noticed the soles were separating from the shoe at the heel on each foot.These were super comfortable and lightweight, and was looking forward to these shoes as my light duty trail shoe, but the durability was terrible.I've worn Merrell boots for a while and the quality here is not what I expected. Bummer.
The Merrell Moab Speed GTX Walking shoes are ideal for my needs. Comfortable out of the box, lightweight and a rugged sole. Haven't used them enough to comment on durability or waterproofing. Early impressions, excellent. Great service from Start Fitness too.
Purchased the Merrell speed gtx recently. Initially, they appeared to be everything I wanted: comfortable fit, subdued look, gore-tex liner. It very quickly turned out that the soft, comfortable feel equated to near zero support (so my mistake regarding the initial impression, and some may like or prefer their shoes that way). Also, the sole has near zero grip on wet surfaces - the material actually seems to go slick when wet. Not good.
