These tires are unreal. I put them on my 2013 Kawasaki Vaquero and they handle so much better than the stock tires. The stock tires only got me about 9,000 miles, probably could have ridden them to 10,000 but they would have been showing the core. From what I am hearing, these tires should get 20,000 miles easily and in some cases 25,000. It's worth spending the extra money on good tires that last longer so I don't have to pay twice to have someone mount and balance tires that get half the life. Also, these tires seem to feel soft and do make my ride much quieter and smoother. Finally, the tread pattern on them are aggressive which makes me feel comfortable when riding in the rain. Highly recommend them!

Advertised 7mm tread depth for my rear size. I measured 6.75mm with a micrometer. With 20k on it so far, my math shows 23.6k miles at min legal tread depth, 26.6k when slick in the center. This is a modified Vulcan 900 Classic with extra load from hard bags, luggage sometimes, windshield air resistance, etc. Some touring 2 up. moderate riding and avg 55 to 65 mph. It's a little slick in the wet but very manageable, and FAR better than competitors 880 and 888, which also tend to have sudden, zero warning, catastrophic tread separation from the carcass (yes, again, after they "fixed" it). I hear these are better than the Commander 3 but haven't tried those yet. On my '98 FXD, which I've owned for about 7 years, these tires gave me fantastic grip in all weather (I ride all year round as my motorcycle is my only transportation I own). These tires also got me superb mileage. I averaged approximately 25,000 miles on the front tire and 18,000 on the rear.Now that I have a different bike, a '97 FLSTC, I'm hoping that these tires will impress me as well as they did for my Super Glide.
Good for mileage but they don't hold the road. I'm not exaggerating when I say that these are the most slippery tires I have ever had on a bike. The first time one of these grabs a road snake on a tight mountain corner you'll know what I mean. Tried every pressure combination and suspension preload I could. Found tolerable stability at an odd suspension preload (40 rear 19 front) and 42 psi in the tires. These are awful and will ruin good days of riding because of the lack of confidence you will have in them. I put 7k on them and they have 50% tread left but they are going in the garbage. Going back to Metzler 888's.

On top of that I ordered them Saturday evening and they were on my doorstep Tuesday when I got home from work. $350 for front and back tires. I did all the wrenching getting f my wheels off, and brought them to my Harley shop to swap out the tired. Running this tire on the front of a 1993 Wide Glide. I live in Florida, and daily afternoon rains happen from June-September. I ride 75 miles roundtrip to work, mostly on I-295/I-10. I've tried the original 'Harley' Dunlops (D402? D404?), Dunlop American Eagle, and the Michelin Commander II. I wouldn't use the 'Harley' Dunlop again unless it were given to me, and even then, I'd hesitate. Seriously. The American Eagle was a great tire, but after I got 27k miles out of a Michelin Commander II on the rear, I put one on the front, also. First front tire that I've ever gotten over 5,000 miles out of (7,500 and counting). Not sure why I get so many miles out of a rear, and so few out of a front; friends say that I must ride backwards lol. Although these tires function well, I find they are very slippery on wet surfaces. The front and rear tire will slip on wet surfaces. I almost bit it in Sturgis turning a corner on wet asphalt. By the way I did wait to review these tires well after the break in period. Also very sloppy punching out of a corner even when warm. I had hope to continue with these tires because of the great mileage you get with them.
