This is the ideal product for the everyday family who does not need to use all the applications associated with the Microsoft package on a daily basis. The everyday family does not need to be tied into a monthly subscription to use the Microsoft Suite or be required to be online to use the free basic version. This product allows the user to work on documents and spreadsheets on or offline, and share with other people without the hassle of restrictions from the online version. I'm an experienced PC user but I can see how some folks might have difficulty with installing because it doesn't automatically install it in the correct directory in C: drive. I needed to change the "destination" folder to C>Programs Files *Not Program File (x86) which is for 32bit programs. After install I expected the Office Suite Programs to be bundled together to under "M" for Microsoft in my start menu program list, but it was not. I initially thought something was wrong but then discovered that each program was installed separately under a different alphabetical heading ie: Outlook was under "O", Word was under "W", Publisher under "P", etc. But everything was there and worked correctly. Also, the 'activation' prompt didn't automatically pop up after install. I had to open one of the programs then go to "account" then click on activate and enter the product key. But all in all it was a VERY good deal and well worth the small install inconvenience. I would definitely recommend WinandOffice and won't have any reservation about future purchases.

Is an Upgrade Necessary

I purchased this product on the advice of the Staples Tech Easy group which has helped me with a number of other issues. As an Excel spreadsheet that I use a good deal kept "crashing" and my MS Office was old and apparently no longer serviced it was felt that I could improve my situation by updating MS Office. I did that with the Download version which the Tech Easy group installed. However, the particular spreadsheet I hoped would perform better with the newer version continued to "crash". Also, trying to set up a new P.Pt. presentation also "crashed" with the new version in place when I tried to insert a video - that had worked fine in the old version. Microsoft Office 2021 worth buying

First finding a standalone licensed version is difficult but Word offers one.I am very happy with this product especially at the price offered. I don’t take advantage of all the bells and whistles but this version gets the job done and can be personalized pretty well.Purchasing from B&H was easy and painless and I congratulate them. I haven’t needed to return or exchange what I bought so can’t comment of that, but feel confident that B&H will do their utmost to make me happy.Prior to this version, I was using Microsoft Word 2008 and loved it but needed to upgrade as upgraded Mac OS.Bottom line? I’m happy!

Microsoft Office Student: Sucks to be Me

I purchased this software in November 2021 for my teenage student and it took forever to get him ready for me to download this software to his laptop. I tried to download today but the download says no longer available on Office Depot website under my archived orders. Heaven forbid, this is 2021 software and should still be available for download. Contacted Office Depot and they said they cannot see history beyond one year. Microsoft wants to do everything online and they need see a user key. Since it was never downloaded, I do not have a product key. I wish in the future a software key was provided on the day of purchase. Watch out on a mac - gave PC download

I used my MS login, answered more than the normal number of security questions - forced me to change my password, re-confirm, and so on. Finally, the MS Office part came up, clicked the usual 1-2-3 steps, and ... it put OfficeSetup.exe onto my mac. Grrrr - obviously that's not going to work (and it didn't). Broke out in a sweat for 20 mins going round and round on the MS site because it kept saying the product was already activated and I need to buy it again to install on another computer. More Grrrr. Finally found a purchased products page, it had an install button, and I could download a 2.1 GB macOS pkg file. Every time you first save, you have to steer it to your local computer if that's what you want to. Lots of extra clicks.

spell check

Not being a technicle person I want to just tutn on and it works as well if not better than the old version. on the plus side excels worked perfectly. BUT the word document would not correct the spelling . when hitting tools and spell check it came up with "hide spelling Error " same for grammar and the option to reset ignored words. What is that all about ? after hours and looking at blogs I final found out that to use the spell check you have to REVIEW the document . It is not obvious and Why change it so you have to review ? Simplify not make more difficult
