Amazing but fragile

Good form but poor function

I have been using this mouse for approximately 3 months now. I chose it over a few other mice I was trying out because it looked really nice and sleek, it fit in my hand relatively well, though I was aware that the function was not the best of the bunch I thought I would get used to it. The wheel is quite stiff and uncomfortable as it's steel, not rubber. You need quite a bit of pressure to move it with your finger because it is stiff and not grippy. The buttons also are quite still so you need to apply quite alot of force. The glide pads are quite poor as well, they are not smooth. This might sound a bit precious, but when you are using a device for up to 8 hours a day, it does become fatiguing on the write and the fingers. The friction of the glide pad fatigues your wrist, the stiff click and scroll wheel fatigue your fingers. I am making these assessments in comparison with other mice. I used a cheaper mouse yesterday for the whole day and it was so smooth to glide across the desk and effortless to click and scroll in comparison to the point where I forgot all about it. The Surface mouse however, I am always conscious of it.

I've had one of these for about three years and I've used it on a Microsoft Surface I don't use very often. Without warning, the click wheel no longer scrolled properly. I've used various USB mice in the meantime, but since the Surface only has one USB port, I need the Bluetooth mouse, so I'm ordering another one of these. Wish me luck.

Horrible mouse, doesn't work consistently
10 September 2017

This is the most unreliable mouse I have ever used. It works about 75% of the time, I am returning it. I bought it specifically because it was designed for the Microsoft Surface notebook that I recently bought, but apparently Microsoft doesn't understand how to pair the mouse with the computer so that it works consistently. The first time it quit working I spent an hour or so online with a Microsoft rep who couldn't speak English well and had to repeat each instruction several times so that I could understand. Eventually it was fixed through this phone call after installing updates. This is another Microsoft flaw, because Microsoft set the computer up to automatically install updates, but this feature doesn't work either. This is another Microsoft flaw, because Microsoft set the computer up to automatically install updates, but this feature doesn't work either. I have owned it for less than 30 days, and during that time I have had to delete and unpair the mouse, pair it again, and usually restart the computer. I have had to go through this process 4 or 5 times already. Just this morning, I had to delete and unpair, then pair the mouse up again three times before it would work. A complete waste of time. NOTE: I am not using any other bluetooth devices with the Microsoft Surface, so this problem is not created by multiple devices that might interfer with each other.

I always want to buy these Microsoft Earbuds
25 January 2021

I always wanted these ear buds and was excited to use this discount that was offered. I really appreciated the tracking number that was provided with my order. The placement of my order to the delivery was quick and easy. I like the sound quality of the ear buds because they have 4 different type of music styles to choose from. The fit of earbuds is a little concerning because they will fall out and I have to rejust the earbuds so that they will stay in my ears I'm afraid that if they fall out of my ears. I have to watch were they fall and run over by a vehicle. The fit of earbuds in ear is a little bothersome because it will irritate the ears if left in for a long period of time. Perfect for use with a Surface
16 November 2017

Bought this specifically because of its Bluetooth capability...I have a Surface (the regular version, not a pro) that I use a USB keyboard with, so I had to go Bluetooth for the mouse. No setup required for this - it seemed to work automatically with the Surface. Worked like a charm for the one intense week that I used my Surface like it was a laptop. Particularly liked that it is the size of a real mouse, not a half-sized mouse like most other travel-friendly brands of cordless mice (mouses?) that I saw on the shelves. It is sleek and very comfortable in the hand, just the right weight, too. Docked a star from the review because there doesn't seem to be a way to turn the mouse off to conserve battery when I'm done using it either at the end of the day or when ... MoreBought this specifically because of its Bluetooth capability...I have a Surface (the regular version, not a pro) that I use a USB keyboard with, so I had to go Bluetooth for the mouse. Docked a star from the review because there doesn't seem to be a way to turn the mouse off to conserve battery when I'm done using it either at the end of the day or when moving around. I.e., I literally had to remove the lid and take out a battery every time I needed to move to a different table, otherwise it would wake up my Surface. (This, versus my beloved Logitech track ball which has an on/off switch, but is, alas, wireless USB and not Bluetooth.) Long story short, if you've got a Surface and are in the market for a Bluetooth mouse, this is a very good choice.

Premium Mouse for MS Surface Users - Very Nice
22 April 2023

Great Mouse - Primarily for Surface users who value the Surface Aesthetic and Design. The Good: Well built, tactile scroll wheel, good bluetooth, comfortable in the hand. The Bad: premium price.Who should buy it: Someone who values the MS Surface Design aesthetic. Someone who wants a premium feeling mouse and is willing to pay for it.Bonus - Pairs nicely with the MS Surface BT Keyboard, which shares same design.Bonus - Using both removes the need for a USB Dongle, freeing those up for you to use otherwise.

Reliability is suspect, but feature set is solid
28 May 2023

I bought two of these, and one of them kept stuttering every few seconds, so I returned one of them. But the mouse otherwise has everything I could ask for: solid design; *replaceable* standard batteries; and wireless Bluetooth connection (no proprietary dongle). It works out of the box with both Linux and Windows without the poorly conceived fancy software that gaming mice with extra buttons make you install.

Simple and Sleek Get’s the Job Done!
22 April 2021

I wanted something that was compatible with the laptop I had just purchased and didn’t want an additional usb port being gobbled up by a Bluetooth receiver. The person in computer sales showed me exactly what I was looking for. It matches the computer nicely and works great. The wheel was a little different as I was used to a plastic wheel before. The IR pickup doesn’t skip whatsoever and has very smooth tracking. The quality is felt with this mouse. The only con that I have is that I was so used to a mouse with a side click on it, I kept going for it just find it not there. Not a deal breaker though. It has a slightly lower profile than most I’ve used and fits nicely in the side pouch of my laptop sleeve without being too bulky. Over all a great value with looks ... MoreI wanted something that was compatible with the laptop I had just purchased and didn’t want an additional usb port being gobbled up by a Bluetooth receiver. Stay away from Surface accessories!
30 January 2023

I committed to the Surface accessories because I was so pleased with the build quality of the Surface computers. First thing I noticed out of the box was how cheap and "plasticy" this mouse and the ergonomic keyboard were. They worked fine for a couple of years, but then the left mouse button just stopped clicking. I have checked for debris and everything, it's like the spring or something is worn out. The six months later the keyboard just up and died for no apparent reason. I spent good money on these and barely got 2 yrs. out of them. I have other wireless keyboards and mice that are 15 years old and still work. I should've trusted my gut and gone with Logitech. This was an expensive mistake I won't make again.
