Microsoft Surface Mouse (Grey)

I don't remember when, maybe a year and a half to two years ago, I bought my surface pro with the mouse and it's been great so far. More recently, I dropped the mouse on my way to class and the result of which left me with a loose wheel. It rolls, more loosely then before, but it doesn't respond. the middle click function still works, however, so i've adapted to using that when scrolling. My dad got some tools and went to investigate and some bit was broken, so whatever. i was doing well without it so i didnt mind. i dropped it again a bit after and now theres a loose bit making some rattling noise. it one point the wheel got slower, not exactly stiff, but slower. it was weird and i cant exactly describe it. it felt like there was an invisible coat of honey on the ... MoreI don't remember when, maybe a year and a half to two years ago, I bought my surface pro with the mouse and it's been great so far. Anyway, my main overall review is that it's great for its price, works amazingly, and its only fault is its fragility.

I have been using this mouse for approximately 3 months now. I chose it over a few other mice I was trying out because it looked really nice and sleek, it fit in my hand relatively well, though I was aware that the function was not the best of the bunch I thought I would get used to it. The wheel is quite stiff and uncomfortable as it's steel, not rubber. You need quite a bit of pressure to move it with your finger because it is stiff and not grippy. The buttons also are quite still so you need to apply quite alot of force. The glide pads are quite poor as well, they are not smooth. This might sound a bit precious, but when you are using a device for up to 8 hours a day, it does become fatiguing on the write and the fingers. I used a cheaper mouse yesterday for the whole day and it was so smooth to glide across the desk and effortless to click and scroll in comparison to the point where I forgot all about it. The Surface mouse however, I am always conscious of it.

I've had one of these for about three years and I've used it on a Microsoft Surface I don't use very often. Without warning, the click wheel no longer scrolled properly. I've used various USB mice in the meantime, but since the Surface only has one USB port, I need the Bluetooth mouse, so I'm ordering another one of these. Wish me luck.
