Best Console Hands Down!

I have had both the xbox series and ps5 and let me tell you why I kept the xbox and returned the ps5. Xbox series x is the best hands down - Built solid , Runs Very Smooth and Quiet , Hardware is better than ps5 , Quick Resume , Much easier and better organized user interface than ps5 imo , Powering down the xbox series x is way easier and better than going through 3 steps to shut down the ps5 , Graphics look amazing on Xbox series x , Xbox runs games better in 120hz where as ps5 struggles with 120hz, Xbox controller imo is way more comfortable for longer gaming sessions where as dual sense controller starts to cramp my hands after a short time , Internet connection on Xbox series x is way better and downloads games faster than ps5 , Game Pass and Backwards ... MoreI have had both the xbox series and ps5 and let me tell you why I kept the xbox and returned the ps5. Ps+ is very limited and only goes back as far as ps3 games which are streaming only. Also you have to pay for a ps+ subscription to save your data just to save game progress which you don't have to do with xbox. So in other words if you ever have to delete and reinstall a game on ps5 you have to start the game all over. Another win for xbox because you can uninstall a game and reinstall and still continue where you left off. Batteries last much longer with rechargeable battery packs in xbox controllers , Dualsense battery life is much shorter and not that good. In the short time that I had the ps5 I was getting errors saying no internet connection although all my other devices were working fine on 300mbps internet and it also crashed with a black screen and shut down in the middle of a game, Not cool Sony. So to sum it all up imo the Xbox Series X is the best all around console this generation and that is simply the truth and facts. People are starting to realize that the xbox series x is the better console over the ps5 , Why do you think the xbox has been outselling the ps5 , Because it's simply the better console and better value for your money. Ps5 consoles are just sitting in stores untouched , While Xbox Series X continues to out sell it. I'm prepared to be down voted and honestly that's ok , Just telling it like it is and that's the facts. Happy Gaming Everyone

The PS5 has a more premium controller while the Series X has a more premium console.I'm not really into the whole "Playstation is better" or "Xbox is better" debate. They are both awesome consoles but since getting the Series X, I have been enjoying it more than my PS5.Game Pass was a new concept for me. I know people who currently have Xbox One's have had Game Pass for a while, but it was amazing for me given I haven't had an Xbox since the 360.I can confidently say that Xbox is doing an amazing job with Game Pass. It is far better than Playstation Plus and the Playstation Plus premium package deals. Makes the Xbox actually feel like a gaming console rather than a pay a lot to play. One dollar for the first month of Game Pass, and then it's $15 a month to continue the subscription. I just canceled my Netflix and can say I've used Game Pass more than Netflix and I actually don't have all the time in the world to play games either. The insides of this console are incredible. I watched a teardown of both the Series X and the PS5. The Series X is much more impressive with the parts and pieces that are actually pretty pricey parts and it amazes me that they managed to keep the price at $500 still. If you're asking yourself, do I get a PS5 or a Series X. I would of course say get both, but given that Sony has been increasing the price of the PS5 and it is not as easy to come by, I would say get the Series X and don't stress about the PS5 right now. The Series X is much easier to get, the design of it in my opinion despite it being very minimalist, is actually nicer than the PS5 and it's a little smaller than it too, and you can finally enjoy next gen gaming without having scavenge for a PS5. Game Pass is great to have as well and with it you can play basically every new game, and has titles that start from the original Xbox all the way to Xbox One/Series XS. Also if you're like me and have a few Original Xbox games and Xbox 360 games, you can actually play them on your Series X because Microsoft actually made their console backwards compatible. If you've been more of a Playstation person I feel your hesitation, but this console is actually worth it. Not hating on Sony but I wish they had made their consoles backwards compatible like the Series X. But yeah if you're wanting to play next gen games, get the Series X and get the PS5 later when they come out with a Slim or Pro model. Overall I didn't expect to like it this much.

Great!

First, let's talk about the design. The Xbox Series X is a sleek and sophisticated console that looks like it came straight from the future. Its monolithic form factor is not only aesthetically pleasing but also serves a purpose: it's designed for optimal cooling and airflow to ensure that the console can run at peak performance without any overheating issues. And boy, does it deliver. I've been playing games on this console for hours on end, and I've yet to experience any lag or slowdowns. The controller is also a thing of beauty. It's comfortable to hold, responsive, and features a new "share" button that allows you to capture and share screenshots and videos of your gameplay with ease. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers provide a new level of immersion that truly enhances the gaming experience. But what really sets the Xbox Series X apart is its power. With a custom-designed processor, the console delivers up to 4K resolution and 120 frames per second, which means you'll get buttery smooth graphics and lightning-fast load times. And if you have a TV that supports it, you can take advantage of the console's 8K capabilities for an even more jaw-dropping visual experience.Of course, all of this power and performance comes at a cost, and the Xbox Series X is no exception. It's not cheap, and it may not be the right choice for casual gamers who are content with their current console. But for those who are serious about gaming and want the best of the best, the Xbox Series X is a no-brainer.In conclusion, the Xbox Series X is a true powerhouse of a console that delivers on every front. Its sleek design, powerful performance, and immersive features make it the perfect choice for any gaming aficionado. If you're in the market for a new console, the Xbox Series X should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended!

I own both, and I prefer the Series X over PS5
11 September 2022

As the title says, I own both the PS5 and the Series X, and being as non-biased as I can be, my Xbox gets played much more. Why? Game Pass, great backwards compatibility, accessories, and games that receive long-term support.First off is Game Pass, it's a great value and new games get added all the time, so there's usually something added that I want to play every week or so. Sure, Sony has some high quality exclusives and I do enjoy those too, but after I play through those within a week or two, my PS5 is just sitting there for months until the next exclusive comes along. I turn on my Xbox almost every day since there's always something there for me.Backwards compatibility is another big plus, older games that I've enjoyed received updates that make them run at ... MoreAs the title says, I own both the PS5 and the Series X, and being as non-biased as I can be, my Xbox gets played much more. I turn on my Xbox almost every day since there's always something there for me.Backwards compatibility is another big plus, older games that I've enjoyed received updates that make them run at higher framerates and resolutions than before, making them easier to go back to after getting used to most games running at 60 FPS nowadays. These updates are usually free too unless it's a remaster/remake.Another advantage is accessory support, you can use a mix of the new Series X|S controllers and Xbox One controllers to play any game on Xbox. It's also a better party system too since the Xbox supports up to 8 players at once locally. On PS5 you can only have 4 local players max, and you're forced to buy the pricier Dual Sense controllers for playing PS5 games.Games that are exclusive to Xbox/PC also receive support and updates for a long time and keep you coming back. For example, Sea of Thieves came out in 2018, and it still gets updates every few months that brings people back. Sony's exclusives tend to be a "one playthrough and I'm done" type of experience, so they're in my cycle of games I'm playing for a much shorter amount of time. There's other small features that I like on Xbox too, like how you can install games via the Xbox app even if you don't own the game, so if you know you're going to buy a game, you can install it and have it ready ahead of time.Don't get me wrong, the PS5 isn't terrible and is worth owning too if you can afford it. It just annoys me that people talk down on Xbox without even owning one for a head to head comparison. Again, I do own both, and there are a lot of advantages for Series X that I hope people will become more aware of here.

PS5 vs Series X comparison
17 September 2021

I am lucky enough to have both the series X and the pS5. After using both for a while I’ve come to the conclusion that i still love both in different ways but the PS5 is edging ahead due to it’s innovation and the exclusives. The PS5 feels much more like an all new console. There are things the xbox does that the PS5 doesn’t and vice versa. The biggie in my opinion is the ability to just plug in a storage expansion card. Both consoles don’t allow you to use a usb external hard drive like the old consoles did. You can STORE new games for series x/s or PS5, but to play them you must transfer them over to the internal SSD. So not having to open up your console, choose a drive with the proper specs and add a heat sink yourself is a huge win over Sony for the Xbox. You can STORE new games for series x/s or PS5, but to play them you must transfer them over to the internal SSD. So not having to open up your console, choose a drive with the proper specs and add a heat sink yourself is a huge win over Sony for the Xbox. I’ve noticed the Xbox series X is far more quiet than the PS5 but that’s really not a big deal to me. Also the PS5 seems quite a bit more smooth in the UI (which is completely redesigned unlike the Xbox which feels and looks identical to the Xbox One X). I’ve had problems with the series X crashing or slowing a LOT and have never had that issue with the PS5. Downloading games is kind of different as well. On PS5, you can play and download all you want whereas the Xbox will slow your download speed drastically when you play a series X/S game. Which leaves you basically with the option of play or download not both simultaneously. They both have a very quick multitasking capability and the Xbox will jump from game to game quicker than the PS5 does. The controller is a bit smaller and slightly updated over the Xbox One. It’s textured on the rear of the handles and on the triggers and fits in your hand much better. The PS5 controller is vastly superior though with its haptic feedback vibrations and the adaptive triggers, this does drain battery a bit quicker than the Xbox but i think it’s worth it and it’s still plenty good enough for long gaming sessions. Plus it will recharge very quickly anyway. Also Xbox is still convinced that people want to be using AA batteries and you must pay extra for a licensed rechargeable battery pack which i find ridiculous. It does now have a USB Type C port for quicker data transfer and charge speeds but the PS5’s dual sense controller comes out of the box with a rechargeable battery and a usb-c cable as well as usb-c port on the console itself. I feel that Sony (for now) has the much better lineup of exclusives but only time will tell if Xbox can catch up in that category. Graphics wise i think both consoles are so close in specs that it’s hard to choose a real winner there but the PS5 does seem to load games slightly quicker. All in all it’s an incredible gaming machine and you can really see and feel the difference between it and the Xbox One. As time goes on and more developers are able to take advantage of the power of the series X the games will get bigger and better and more beautiful. But even now it feels like a massive step forward. I think it is definitely worth the extra money to get the series X over the S. Having a disc drive and the extra storage is huge with how large games are becoming. You would spend a lot of time deleting and swapping games around on the Series S. And you can harness the full potential of the newest games. 4 stars for now due to lack of exclusives and the controller still really annoys me, it should have some of if not all the capabilities of the DualSense and have a rechargeable battery pack. Hopefully they can revive the Forza Motorsport series, Halo and Fable. Other than those 3 I don’t see much coming in the way of exclusives.
