Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog Powerline Vacuum Cleaner, Red

Miele is my first choice, but this falls short. Turbo is great, but, carpet manufacturers say don't use the turbo on loop pile. ( If I had known this I wouldn't have bought it.) It is heavy and bulky on stairs. Not nice to use.We are now onto our 3rd part on the handle. First one the bristles fell out within a month. Second one wouldn't stay in place and caught my fingers. Third one is the same as the first. (They have replaced it quickly). Have since read this is a common fault.For the price would expect better.Easy to empty, but think it may break easily.The handle is heavy and the ridge down the sides rubs my hand so have it wrapped in fleece.

A Marvel of Failed Engineering

We have a newfoundland dog and wool rugs: a combination evidently wholly unanticipated by the engineers of the CAT AND DOG edition of this vacuum. Vacuuming with this product is akin to driving a manual transmission car without power steering. The canister drags around behind you like wet dead weight and bangs in to everything nearby. Your arms and legs will get a good workout pushing the "power" brush over rugs. And then the "power" brush bristles will be 100% fully clogged with animal hair and no longer rotating or sweeping up fur after each room. Vacuuming now includes scissors - necessary to cut the fur off of the no longer rotating brush. Best vacuum cleaner I've owned!

I wanted to leave my review until I had owned the vacuum cleaner for a while and am now happy to report that this is the best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. It is so well designed - I love the extra long cord and the auto-rewind the just works superbly every time. I love the great suction that is constant even when the dust canister is getting full. I love the easy pull-along wheels that work so well. I love that the hose pipes are quality stainless steel and are so easily adjustable. I love that they can be extra long for a tall person like me or shorter like my grandchildren. I love that the bagless system can be so easily emptied and even washed out. I love the little brush that is an attachment at the top of the wand - very handy for quick on-the-go dust/debri pickup on window sills etc. I love that the hose never kinks or gets caught up. Expensive yet cheap quality and fragile

We purchased this product after seeing all the positive reviews and unfortunately it has been nothing but a headache for us. As soon as we got the product home we unboxed it and found the integrated brush on the handle was broken with bits of plastic and bristles falling out into the box. After taking it back to the store (Harvey Norman, Joondalup) they were quite shocked and apologetic and ultimately gave us a replacement. However, one month after using the replacement, the clip that secures the handle to the telescopic bar broke so it would no longer hold the telescopic bar in place. I reached out initially to Miele and received no response, which is quite frankly not good enough. Great for Dog Hair

Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Have had a Miele Cat & Dog vacuum for the last 10 years - love that it does get the dog hair off the carpet as advertised. When it died, and it was cheaper to buy a new one than get the old one repaired (such a sad indictment of our throw-away society), I didnt consider buying anything else. The new model is lighter and bag less. It works beautifully - easy to move around the house. The bag less compartment makes it a little wider when standing up than the old model, so it doesnt sit on the stairs as safely as the old one, but still able to use on the stairs. The bag less compartment is a good innovation, but it isnt as easy to get out as I thought it might be. Great for pet hair

I run my own cleaning business and majority of my clients have pets. This vacuum has been really good so far. I am still getting used to the larger handle as my old vacuum had one that was easier to grasp. It has four different suction settings- depending on the type of surface being cleaned, so it has less suction if youre vacuuming a door mat but still enough to get the dirt off it. The turbo head has been amazing, saving me a lot of time and removes pet hair from carpets, rugs and mats very easily saving me a lot of time. It also has a small brush head attached to the end of the handle which easily comes down to assist with cleaning skirting boards or corners of the flooring. I love how much quieter this vacuum is as well, and the barrel is super easy to be emptied, and the filter pretty much cleans itself with the push of a button, unlike my old one which had to be washed and replaced constantly. The cord winds up easily with the push of a button, and it winds up every time and always all the way. Although it does cost more than a standard vacuum, I would definitely buy this brand again when I need to upgrade in the future.

I replaced my trusty old Dyson.

I needed to replace my 15 year old Dyson vacuum that still worked well, but the new cord that I had just replaced on it broke. So I thought that it was time to buy a new vacuum cleaner.I had seen good reviews online for the Miele and I also have an indoor cat and I dislike animal hair throughout the house or even on clothing!I was convinced that nothing could replace my old Dyson.The Miele does just as good of a job, but is also more convenient that I can go right under the beds and much easier to carry than my large Dyson. It is easy to move from carpet and replace the head for vinyl floors.I find that it does a really good job on the fabric couches as well. I am very satisfied with this vacuum cleaner. The suction is very good, in fact impressive. It doesn't feel that heavy to carry. The only criticism I have, which is similar to other person's comments, is that the soft furnishings brush is attached to the handle which means that you cannot clean cobwebs at cornice height - to get over this I intend to buy another soft furnishings brush (perhaps a different brand) to attach to the extendable end; hopefully, I can find one that fits. I honestly love my Miele vacuum cleaner which now makes vacuuming more pleasurable. The dust collecting bin is quite large, which means you only have to empty when you finished vacuuming and not during. Terrible for Pets

I’ve had this vacuum for around 12 months and I regret purchasing it. If you have a pet with long hair, do not waste your money!! The suction is great, and for a cord vacuum it moves really well however for the price point and being marketed as a pet vacuum it is deeply flawed. The roller brush cannot be removed and you physically have to cut the hair out of the roller each time. It is time consuming and often quite difficult to do because of the way the roller has been designed. Additionally, the manual is really underwhelming and doesn’t provide much detail at all about the best way to use each of the heads. Hate hate hate this vacuum.

pros.. best about this product is the self cleaning filter system. simply press a button n the filter cleans itslf.seems to vaccum wellsrrong built. the product is very impressive quality wiseless noise like the idea that the machine has spots inbuilt to carry small tools which is handycord is longer than my previous vaccum consmachine is bit on heavier sideits definitely not allergy friendly. I have noticed every time i vaccum it seems to lift dust in the air and leads to coughing. worst for few asthma people at home like the turbo head idea but being a long haired household its a pain to untangle the long hair or threads after a sewing sessionoverall I am not that impressed with this. definitely not worth the hype.
