I've been looking for a new stapler. I went through 3x arrow t50s, a dewalt, and a equivalent Stanley. All returned.. All constantly misfired (not jammed) and needed to be re-seated. Various brands of staples new and 30 years old. I started doubting my ability to use a stapler.I did not want an electric stapler. Overkill for my needs. But this Milwaukee WORKS and it works well! My first m12 tool.Docking 1 star largely for ergonomics. I have large hands and this thing (and I suspect most of the M12 line) is pretty uncomfortable with the wide bottom. Dewalt v20 or Milwaukee 18v line is much more comfy. Other small nitpick: it could nail a bit deeper but it's pretty darn solid.

Bought this portable powered stapler for a job that went thru over 5,500 staples. Though not perfect but it did save my arm from doing it with manual staplers. Out of the 5,500 staples, there were probably around 500 staples/staplings failed. I think the stapling failed is mainly due to the staple shoot out opening space gotten too big or does not stay within specification. Theoretically, the opening suppose be big enough just to allow one staple to shoot out but need to be small enough to allow the stapler's power blade to hit the staple accurately and shoot out the staple in a completely straight path. The staple retainer/tensioner(the piece that you pull out from the back for you to add more staples into the stapler) also act as the controller of the opening. I've noticed that when the opening became 1-1/2 of a staple, the stapling would fail. I was able to temporarily correct the problem by reset the retainer/tensioner. Milwaukee needs to modify the design to provide consistent opening or have a mechanism to adjust how far the retainer/tensioner goes in. I think the adjustable mechanism is better because the material do wear out thru time so eventually the opening will get bigger thru time and eventually render the stapler useless. In any way(except the price tag), this powered stapler beats any manual one. If you have the money and do a lot of stapling out in the field, I would recommend getting one.

I was a little bit hesitant on purchasing this product at first. I didn’t think that there would be much at a difference between my hand stapler and the crown stapler until I used it. The big difference for me is the fatigue factor. There is little to no fatigue after using this all day for installing insulation stops and vapor barrier. It set the staples every time and power was never an issue. This will be a part of my tools for a long time to come.

I was looking for a stapler that was free from the air lines to use in the attic and crawl spaces for installation of vapor barrier and insulation, and have the M12 batteries already. When used under good conditions and you can line up the gun straight on every time it works fine. Just be aware if you are not able to hold full pressure on the gun and have positioned straight on all the time it will be a frustrating experience. While in awkward spaces and having the gun out at your full arms reach it is not always possible to satisfy the gun and it will have chasing red lights, where the battery will need to be removed and reinserted to shoot another staple. The other fault is if its on the way of shooting a staple and you slip or let off on the pressure some what ... Overall it is a cordless stapler and does work if you are under the terms of the computer and safety features. One battery does last a surprising long time, but can be frustrating if you are not in good conditions. Just do not expect this gun to preform like pneumatic powered one in speed and ease of use. One last thought it would have been nice if there was an led illumination light somewhere in the head like many other tools for those working in dark places.
I'll be turning 40 next month. It's hard to believe that except when I'm trying to grip things, as I'm developing arthritis. With a reasonably large insulation project to do I was dreading driving a couple thousand staples with my manual staple gun (and I have the type that actually drives it in the direction you press, so body weight can assist grip strength). You can get a good pneumatic gun for less than half the price of this but then you have to drag the hose everywhere. I "splurged" on this and I'm so glad I did! The project was so easy with it! My only two minor gripes: 1. I wish it held two strips of staples. There are pneumatic guns that hold even more than that and are still easy to use and hang from a belt clip. I'm picturing a $10 more expensive unit ... MoreI'll be turning 40 next month. It's hard to believe that except when I'm trying to grip things, as I'm developing arthritis. I'm picturing a $10 more expensive unit that has interchangeable staple trays, one the current size and one that sticks out the back so it can hold two strips for convenience. 2. It isn't very stable to stand it up on a bench or floor. Lays down just great of course, but when you have a small bench of tools for a large project that kind of space savings helps. Just a slightly wider base at the back is all it needs. Still giving it five stars. I only mention those for context. If that's the only complaints I have then it's pretty fantastic!
Yes, Im a self-professed MKE fanboy, but I try to remain honest and impartial, despite my love for (almost) all things Milwaukee. For this stapler, the m12 line is perfect. The weight distribution and proportions ensure a natural, comfortable grip. Holding the stapler for extended periods does not exert the hand or forearm. The site lines are clearly visible with no visual obstructions. The trigger resistance feels natural, with ample resistance to prevent accidentally firing a staple, but easy enough to press with fighting it. Even a meager 1.5a battery will lost many hours of all-day stapling, for such task as insulation installation or upholstery work. It is best if you can buy this tool as part of kit (preferably a hackable kit, to keep the cost of the tool as ... Or, perhaps buy refurbished like I did, and only spend $60-ish instead of retail. If youre already invested in the m12 family of tools, and you have or anticipate need for a stapler for larger, extended tasks, then this tool will be good addition to your Milwaukee arsenal. However, if you are not already invested in the m12 family, unless you find this stapler bundled with a battery and charger for an incredible price, I would not be able to justify purchasing it unless you have or anticipate having a need for extended tasks that require or benefit from stapling; this is not a gateway tool for Milwaukee or the m12 line of tools. This tool is best reserved for someone who is already invested in the Milwaukee (preferably) m12 line, doesnt already have a sufficient stapler, and finds this tool at a good price.
I purchased this stapler to avoid the drudgery of the manual stapler. Used it to make easy work of attaching carpet to wood for my trailer boat supports. So easy with this stapler! No more heavy pressure needed with the manual staple gun. Adjustable staple depth makes dialing in the correct depth a breeze. Highly recommend this gun!
Solid well built stapler. What did you expect? Easy to add staples. The pressure adjustment doesn't seem to change settings much. Even at highest pressure setting the other stapler I had put staples in better, flatter to surface than this Milwaukee. But it's not terrible and the battery is removable of course to charge. The old stapler battery wasn't removable and appeared to charge but wouldn't staple.
When it works, it’s great. Most of my experience with it is that it doesn’t work. Have bought three different ones thinking it was a bad unit but same experience on all three. Most of the time when I pull the trigger it does not fire and gives the flashing blinking lights. Solution seems to be to pull the battery and try again. May or may not work. Same blinking lights. Try again…. Huge time waste.Note: I am aware of the “less than 5ish staples left safety lockout”. I’m describing moderately full magazine fill and also tried on various amp hour battery sizes (all OEM branded).Given this is the same result across multiple units AND a ton of internet activity describing the same problems for other people I’m concluding this is a manufacturing/quality problem. This has been a great addition to my milwaukee collection. I was on the fence for a long time with this tool if i should buy it or not the amout of use i would get out of it and what other thing i could use it for ? Versatility of a tool is very important to me personally. It really does everything milwaukee advertise without a problem and more i even use it to hang party decorations with a smallest staple of couse but it makes every job fast on the jobsite and off. I also did some custom wood benches and did the stapling of the upholstery with this , so it has met my versatility requirements. The battery seems to last forever on the 2.0 . I wanted to rate it a 4.5 and the reason for that is dial for sink of the staple there are no numbers r some kind of guide to ... MoreThis has been a great addition to my milwaukee collection.
