Milwaukee 2771-20 M18 Transfer Pump Bare Tool

This battery-operated pump eliminates the risk of plugging in a pump during a downpour. As well it will work during power outages.I purchased this pump for overland flooding during heavy rains and transferring water from rain barrels in the backyard to the front yard barrels. I adapted a 1 inch hose to the intake and a 1 1/4 inch sump pump hose to the outlet. This would eliminate most pressure stresses on the impeller. So far all works great. Absolutely amazing

Amazing little transfer pump I put the 8mah battery and that little pump pumped water for almost 5 hours without missing a beat, and I mean it was pumping alot I was working on a repair job . And there was water everywhere. This pump did its job amazingly. So I actually bought 2 to have as a spare. So if you need a transfer pump. This is the one you want. For sure

Great pump with a qualifier, it was a great disappoint when its performance went downhill. Being engineers on a ship and overhauling much bigger pumps, we performed a post mortem on the dying transfer pump.It is unfortunately that this pump cannot be overhaul by the operator. Milwaukee only provides in the U.S., parts to overhaul the impeller and nothing else. Being ecologically responsible we will properly dispose of the trashed pump to a shore side landfill.The pump is not one of Milwaukee’s brushless power tools and should be one if maintaining the motor brushes are the weak link or alternatively design it so the brushes can be serviced.Buy this pump only if you are willing to spend money in a definable future to eventually send it to a service center to change the carbon motor brushes or unjam a motor brush that didn’t wear evenly.Two Star: Because you are tied to a Milwaukee Service Center to change $20 worth of carbon motor brushes

Fast and powerful transfer pump

I purchased this tool to pump 500+ gallons out of a large water tank before we had it refilled. The M18 transfer pump worked very well and was easily able to do the job. Sitting on the ground attached to a 50' long intake hose that was fed through the top of the tank (9' higher than the ground level), the pump had a lot of power and was able to pump the water out of the tank easily. I am also impressed by how quiet the pump is running. Other, smaller, 110v transfer pumps are incredibly loud but this pump is much quieter.

Having trouble

They work great out of the box but in my experience they get worse in time, I used one to water our town flower baskets, approximately 45 baskets in total, turns on approximately 18-24 seconds per basket. First year great, second year only works for 10-15 baskets, purchased a second Milwaukee M18 transfer pump one and it's even worse. Using 8ah high output batteries and they still have 80%+ power when pumps stop, 12-24 hours later pumps work again. I use them at 5-7am before the temperature is hot

Milwaukee M18 Transfer Pump

I received my Milwaukee transfer pump from ACME Tools and am using it to water trees pumping water from my pond. This item works great and I can pump about 125 gallons of water on a single Milwaukee 5.0 amp/hour battery. I am pumping about 6-7 feet of head and it works great. I did put quick connect ends on the pump and hoses so I can water more quickly as I am using several hoses in different locations around the pond. I received my pump on time and in new condition. Thanks ACME.

Once again it delivered.

Finally received a call where this was a necessary tool. Again was actually still again impressed. I Had some restoration in a crawlspace that need to be done for the plumbers. The job was 10x15 area approximately also cat 3 water was 4-5 in at its deepest point. Source was from a broken drain line in the toilet. I hooked my pump up to garden hose with lay flat a then the exit hose was sub pump hose with a “O” clamp. Sent my bravest As. Tech an it delivered!!

Shuts off on its own frequently

I own many Milwaukee tools and have always really like their products. I would like to think I got a defective unit, but when I reached out to Milwaukee regarding warranty I heard nothing back, which surprised me. The first time I used the pump to flush a water heater it ran for 20 minutes then shut off. Battery was still 50%, but the pump would only turn back on in short burst. Changed to a fresh battery same thing. It was useless to finish what should have been a simple job.

We use the transfer pump to water a large amount of plants both potted and others that are in the ground with no water source. We use the pump in the summer to water the pots alone for 3 hours. Constantly with the exception of refilling the water tank. Some days the pump may run for 5 hours.The pumps have lasted for years with the exception of one which we returned for repair. We immediately received a new pump in the mail. We have three batteries we use M18 9.0. We have had the batteries for 6 and 4 years. Meaning two at 4 years and one at six. Just recently the batteries all started failing at the same time only getting 1/2 life or less.This product has been fantastic. The whole system is mounted on a golf cart. Works great. Has seal issues? Very frusterating.

Use this for pumping water for garden at camp and winterizing sprinklers in fall at the house. Goes great all summer long. However this is the second year in a row is fails when pumping plumbing antifreeze for sprinklers. Seems when it's a critical time it decides to fail. Guess will send it out for yet another warranty job. Without these failures though would give it a 5/5. I realize the instructions say clear water only. Yet plumbing antifreeze does not mess up any fittings in a home/camp and trailer water line.
