Changed axels on my boat trailer and needed a strong clamp. This tool did the trick. Really like the adjustment ability.

Nice quality tool from Milwaukee. Solid with easy to operate locking lever. The swivel pads are attached solid and lineup with each other well when closing down onto the material your using them on. I'm a long time ViseGrip user and I give these Milwaukee clamps a A+ as far as quality, but Vise Grip would be my 1st choice because they are the same great quality there were 30 yrs. ago when I purchased my 1st pair. They also are not as pricey as the Milwaukee tools are so overall they are still the Best Buy on the market.

There isn't a whole lot you can say about clamping pliers. Over the years there have been many manufacturers that have tried to enter this market without much luck. I think these will give the king of the "gripping" pliers a run for their money. They have very nice/strong swivel jaws that allow for great flexibility while giving you significant clamping power. Also, I like the "thumb screw" with the hole in it that allows you to get just a little more clamping force.

Just what I needed to hold boards in place during the construction of my back yard Pergola. Granted this clamp should be used with metal which I had the change to apply it when I made repairs to my canopy frame that got bent during a wind storm. A quick cut of the metal, then CLAMPING with my new tool and the bend was repaired with a splice and bolt. Clamp easy to apply, adjust simply and release when finished was a breeze. I do recommend that you put a lite application of oil prior to use so adjusting and release perform uninhibited. That is not to say the Clamp does not meet my expectation, I always apply oil to improve performance as well as preserve and protect the metal components
PERFECT FOR MY NEEDS. EVERY SHOP WHETHER WOODWORKING OR MECHANICAL SHOULD HAVE THESE. I WILL BE BUYING MORE FOR OTHER PROJECTS. TWO ARE GOOD BUT MORE IS BETTER!
Absolutely fantastic piece of tool. Best test for it is that you can clamp round object with it without pads slipping off. Which is impossible to do with same but cheap tool. And torque you can apply with it is just incredible. No way that it will stay clamped after releasing or thread will jamm. Recommend to everyone that would like his tools to never let him down.
The swivel jaw c clamp is good for clamping objects big enough for the ENTIRE swiveling pad can rest on, otherwise the pads will tip and not hold the item. These are decent quality and I probably use them at least once a day when Iām working in my shop. They are easy to get a good hold on something using one hand.
These were the only locking c-clamps Home Depot had, and I needed them to complete a project. The adjustment screw is easy to move when you lay them down, so I am always readjusting them. Even if I don't bump the screw, it seems to loosen up by itself. I wish I could have found a pair that were more like a Vise-Grip style. These weren't cheap, either.
The textured finish of the metal gives this plier a "positive" feel in your hand, and the adjusting lug allows you to very quickly and easily set the tension. The little hole in the adjusting lug allows you to stick a screwdriver through it to aid in adding a bit of pressure once the tool is locked. It also helps in releasing pressure with the tool locked, and will save you from those "busted knuckles" you get when other style locking pliers "Pop" free. The swivel jaws actually clamp and hold well on odd shaped objects, and they add to the versatility of the plier. I like it..;~)
Very smooth locking mechanism. These are great for wood projects because of the pads that swivel to keep the pad flat on the material you are clamping. I have bought 8 pair of these and would recommend them!
