Bought this tool for torquing solar panel clamps during the install process. The calibration is off and cant find anyone that can re-certify and recalibrate the wrench. Digital function is great, but off by 5 ft lb to a calibrated wrench. Overall decent but needs improvement

The biggest piece of junk ever. 1. Needed to be calibrated within 3 months (2500 torques) of first using. Then after paying the $100 to have it calibrated, 2 months (163 torques later) a warning lights on the LCD screen came up saying it needed to be serviced again. Sent it back in, Milwaukee said it needed to be calibrated again at the cost of another $100 and they don't warrantee the repair/calibration. 2. The Run Down feature does not work as advertised, mine always stops at around 12ft lbs and I need to manually tighten the bolt to proper specs by hand the rest of the way, ALWAYS, regardless of battery AH size, or the percentage that its charged. When I sent it in the first time (@2500 torques) I asked them to check out the Run Down feature and Milwaukee just ... MoreThe biggest piece of junk ever. 1. When I received it back, it still did not work as advertised. I went back to my $150 click style manual torque wrench that works proper every time.

Tool runs smoothly. Not enough torque. Tool runs smoothly. Not enough torque. Tool runs smoothly. Not enough torque.
Industrial application tightening nuts on assembly to 250 in/lbs. and 300 in/lbs.The tool itself works ok once we realized that the batteries supplied with the kit do not power the tool enough for a simple torque application. Tried a 4ah battery an the tool functioned properly. E-mailed customer service about this but got no response.
I use the digital torque wrench tool as part of my 5th year IBEW apprenticeship training. The apprentices think it is easy to learn how to set-up the functions and document completed training labs. Most are insisting that their electrical contractors provide them on job sites after learning the versatility and functionality.
I love this tool! If you are doing a lot of repetative work, this will save some time. The user settable run down torque feature is great. I also like the adjustable pre sets. The tool is very customizable. I ordered the 1/2 drive as well but havent got it yet. If I had any complaints/suggestions, it would be the weight and size of the tool is pretty substantial. This may prohibit gettting into some of the tighter places. One wish I have is to be able to add text to the stored torque pre sets. For example Exhaust manifold nuts, or Engine mount bolts.
This tool has a ton of power and is definitely a positive addition to my arsenal. The 12 volt system is unbelievably strong and light.
Product works very well and holds tight repeatablity. Improvement suggestions would be: 1) reduce weight of wrench - using for quality checks on a production floor environment and the wrench gets heavy after checking many parts on a full shift. 2) have the one key system be able to export the torque data to an excel spreadsheet sheet or at least make it exportable in a text format.
Great tool, made torquing way faster and our QA/QC loves the generated data. Downsides are physical length of the tool and the display scratches very easily. Other than these 2 things I am really impressed with the tool.
I love the idea, features, accuracy, and ease of use but I’m disappointed in my purchase as the wrench does not have the power to drive nuts anywhere close to a completion torque of 10ft lbs. I’ve tried using a 4AH battery and it still does not have the power. Basically a very bulky torque wrench
