Absolutely great oscillating multi tool, I purchased this to replace my Makita 18 V oscillating tool, and this 12 V is much more powerful which is crazy. I have been using my Makita for the past week on various items when building a fence around my pool, so I’m very aware of how fast it cuts with a new blade, this Milwaukee is so much faster couldn’t be happier with the purchase. It’s very light very small. I can easily keep it in my car tool bag without it taking up space. I will note that I have found when I am plunging the blade straight on it goes very fast, but if I am plunging the blade from the side , it goes marginally slower not a dealbreaker, but some thing to definitely point out

Don’t wait. Upgrade now.

I have been using the non fuel version for several months on a variety of products. It got the job done but the vibration produced was annoying. I decided to upgrade and what a difference it made. No comparison. Less vibration and more power. The quick release blade function works well. My hands appreciate the smoother operation. I’ve started using the pad sander attachment to get into cabinet corners and sand nail holes on windows sills.I recommend this upgrade without hesitation. Now I actually enjoy using the tool. It has more than enough power for my needs.

Good performer but faulty dust collector

Sands well feels nice to hold and the sanding discs are firmly in place. A big drawback is the dust collector falls off frequently. This is not a big deal of course if you are not using the attachment as an example when directly venting to a vacuum cleaner the connection is firm and quite good. However when using the sander indoors in a non workshop setting the sander becomes inadequate because of the faulty dust collector. Please rework the connection method for new models of this sander.

M12 line best EDC EVER. every day carry.
14 May 2023

Just added the m12 isolating tool to the EDC bag. This tool rocks it like the other m12 tools it’s paired with. Currently have 5 tools, 9 batteries plus several supporting hand tools, nested in a 15” pack out bag, resting on a compact compartment bin, containing daily fasteners. This bag is filled with m12 products saves so many trips to truck.most every day. M12 line has become without question my go to choice for every task it outperforms my expectations.

Bought for my fiancé as a Christmas gift, she had stated she wanted one to help finish an antique table. 1st and only use was a disaster. The sanding pads available did not stick to the backing plate properly and actually slid off the backing plate during use. This, most unfortunately, wasn’t noticed until she began noticing a dent line in the solid mahogany wood table from 1949. We tried a different (Milwaukee pad) same results. She decided to throw on a Diablo pad she had lying around to see if the problem was the backing plate or pad. The Diablo stuck without issue. Apparently the pads were faulty. She then continued use, with Diablo pad, to try to address the damage that had occurred to the table when the battery died. The battery would not charge and flashed red and green. Faulty battery right out of the box. Quality control seems to lacking here. Now fiancé has non functional “Christmas gift” and a damaged antique table.

I own a residential contracting business and everyone wants LVP flooring. It’s easy, diy right…maybe if you have a square room with no doors ha. I own a myriad of m18 fuel tools and packout set ups but this was my first m12 fuel purchase. The main reasons I chose the m12 over the m18 were ergonomics and a smaller footprint for maneuverability. This 12v saw has blown expectations out of the water! Very little vibration, feels great in hand, love the blade change mechanism (yes, much better than the starlock imo) and an insane amount of power! I have put this machine into hell between undercutting door jambs/casings. Even if there’s a nail I didn’t see this saw does not slow down.If you’re on the fence or trying to decide between brands you can stop researching, ... MoreI own a residential contracting business and everyone wants LVP flooring. Overall, a great too

I’ve had a Dewalt 20 volt XR for years, but most of my other tools are Milwaukee. Having to have two sets of batteries was driving me nuts, so I’ve replaced all my Dewalt tools (this, recip saw, and jigsaw) with Milwaukee. Overall, I’m totally happy with all of them. The one issue I have with the multitool (and this is just personal preference) - I like the variable speed trigger. I don’t love the on/off switch on the Milwaukee. I want to be able to ramp up, and not just start where the variable speed dial is set to. I also think it’s heavier than the Dewalt, even though it’s an m12. The only other thing is the speed switching blades…. It’s a much different process than the spring load on the Dewalt. You have to open it up, unscrew the blade catch, replace the blade, screw it back in, and close the lever. That’s much more of a pain, and slows the process down. BUT - the tool itself is awesome. Ton of power, lasts forever on a battery, and cuts like a dream.

Too Much Power?
20 January 2022

As you know from using any other M12 Fuel product, these things PACK power. This tool rips through any nail or PVC pipe like a hot knife through butter. The only knock is that even on its lowest setting, this tool is way too aggressive. The blade cutting range extends way beyond the old M12 version (think of the cut angle being 10-2 vs 9-3 on a clock). If I was only using this tool as a demo tool, I would be happy. This thing can not be used as accurately as the old on precision cuts. Even if you press the blade into the area that you're cutting, the blade moves way too much. I think this may be a result of the quick release head change (not having as strong of a base as other versions to keep the blade planted). Cut time are drastically down, but hold onto that old ... MoreAs you know from using any other M12 Fuel product, these things PACK power. Treat Yourself to a Quality Tool
25 December 2022

This is a beautiful little tool. It cuts faster than Milwaukee’s M18 Oscillators, faster than the black and yellow competition, and packs up better in my tool bag. The quick blade changes paired with Milwaukee’s oscillator blades have greatly improved my workflow. This tool also allows you to change the power level via a rotary knob on its right side.If there was anything I could change about this tool, it would be the location of the power level knob. I find myself accidentally turning the power down when I’m making prolonged cuts.If you buy this tool, you’ll be glad that you did.

fuel m12 oscillating tool

Love it! I got the non fuel m18 version in a combo deal, no complaints and it works great. But after starting to actually utilize this tool more I realized that the fuel versions had some advantages. I went with the 12 over the 18 fuel after watching some comparisons online of the 2. while I think the auto setting on the m18 I would probably really like I did want to get the tool as small as I could get. comparing the non fuel 18 to this fuel 12 doing some tests they cut about the same rate, vibration is less on the 12 but the 18 felt fine too, the 12 does feel better to handle and just the magnets to hold the blade is worth the price of admission Great too to have!!! even the non fuel m18 I was very happy with going from an old Dremel corded.
