This product is so wonderful! I had heard about it online, but couldn't get any because it was all out of stock, so I started my new pallets off with straw. It smelled horrible and I had to clean the whole coop every 4-5 days! Then I found this website, and ordered two 100L bales. I ordered them the day before Easter, so I expected them to take a while, but they came in only four days! Since using this, the coop doesn't sm lol whatsoever, and it is so soft and easy to clean! I can't wait to use it in the nest box when my girls are old enough to lay! I've just begun using the deep litter method, not for long, so I don't know the outcome, but so far so good! We've got pet rats and mice, and finding good bedding for them is SO hard. but this bedding is perfect!! it's so absorbent, they stink so much less. it's not super dusty, and they love digging around in it!! also, Pet Circle has absolutely the most affordable hemp bedding. we've looked EVERYWHERE, and this is the best we found!! super well priced, doable shipping for such a huge item (we ordered 300L lol), prompt delivery and everything exactly as advertised. will definitely make you guys our sole supplier! thank you so much

I have been using this bedding since we bought our three beautiful Heritage hens five years ago. They are locked up at night in their small hen house and we have never had to change their bedding. We use the deep litter method around 2' deep and just add another bale when necessary. A quick rake over now and then is all that is needed. We have a boarded off section under their perch we use for compost when needed.

Purchased for my chickens to replace the pine shavings (which are supposedly very bad), in their nesting boxes, and they absolutely love it! The hemp bedding is lovely and soft, and the smell is not overwhelming. Definitely going to be repurchasing.
Clean, no odour, no mess, lasts a long time. I remove the chicken's mess every day with a scoop and do a full refresh of the bedding every 2-3 weeks. Much better than using straw which gets smelly very quickly and needs daily changing. Great mulch for the garden too. My chooks are very happy and so is their mother.
I use the Hemp in the girls layer boxes and find it so much better than straw or shavings. It's so much easier to clean (i use a cat litter spade) and much less waste therefore I'm actually saving money . I love the fact that it's delivered right to my door and I don't have to ring around and then drive to a store that may opens may not have stock. One happy customer! Cheers. Mim
Love this product, it is very absorbent. I use it in the chicken coop and put it on the compost or garden bed when finished. It absorbs odours as well as moisture. Lasts for months. Soft for the chooks to walk on. Highly recommend.
We have been using this hemp bedding for a while now. It's absorbent, doesn't smell and I just use enough to cover the droppings replacing it about every 4 weeks. Then I put it all in the compost and onto the garden. The plants love it too. Win all round :)
I've tried straw sugar cane mulch and wood shavings and this is by far the best bedding for chickens. Way more absorbent Needs changing less often so worth the extra. Best thing is no fine dust when spreading it around.
I had high expectations for this product based on other reviews and other recommendations I had read online. I do agree that is quite absorbent, which is great. I purchased this for use in my hen house. First thing that really surprised me was the incredible volume of dust when I started to spread the product. I have previously used 'dust removed' wood shavings and there is definitely little to no dust with that product. But, the hemp was VERY dusty which was a surprise for a 'dust removed' product. I also did not notice any improved odour control. It is very soft underfoot, but I don't think I am getting any more value than I was from the wood shavings, so I shall return to them as they are much more affordable.
