Upon the initial application, I am hit with the powdery floral scent of the Damask Rose and the freshly floral scent of the Pink Peony. The note the first time I spray is totally mandarin/orange. It does smell like the orange for your room; it’s making me dizzy to be honest. But, it is only like 1-2 minutes! Indeed you must be patient with perfume, because sometimes they have surprise for you. The main note, it is of course floral (that’s why I bought it). For me it is more peony than rose (rose is just a small hint) and it’s also a bit fruity sometimes, depends on the weather. I smell peach and apricot mix with peony. It’s pretty smell, but not my favourite because it’s sometimes a bit cloying. In the end, one of my favorite smell shows up; it’s the musk. I would give this perfume 4 stars, if not for the eau de toilette. It is just stay a while on my skin, I think around 2-3 hours. So a blink of an eye! It’s not so worth it with the price.

Doesn't Last and Doesn't Impress

The Good: The scent isn't horrible (I've smelled some very bad perfumes before) and I got this as a gift so I can't really be that upset at the product. That being said, I'm not the biggest fan of this perfume. It's very floral which I usually enjoy a lot and also has some sweeter/fruitier tones within it's middle notes. It goes on strong (I do one spritz in my hair, then one on my wrists that I rub on my neck), but the dry down is almost immediate. I'm a very "one note" type of person. I don't want 50 things in my perfume. I gravitate towards vanilla, powder, jasmine, and peonies. This is a great combination of "soft peonies", with a dash of lily of the valley and jasmine underneath. I get compliments a lot when wearing it, and it doesn't smell too old fashioned or have a sharp alcohol scent. She's Beautiful, But Short-Lived..

This is such a beautiful scent. She's so delicate and feminine, she's gentle but makes a statement. The musks mixed with the bergamot creates a very sensory pleasing scent. She makes you feel enveloped in delicate, sensual, but joyful feelings. Her only drawback is her longevity. The scent performs very poorly in this arena. You really have to search and search on yourself to find the scent after some time passes. It doesn't heavily project. On the strength of the other good qualities alone, I kept her at a 5. But do keep in mind- longevity and sillage is poor. Still recommend.

However, when I opened my package I was a little scared when I read “Blooming Bouquet”, because floral fragrances are not really my go to. In spite of that I kept an open mind as it is a Dior fragrance, so no matter what you know it’s going to be gorgeous and elegant. Unfortunately, as far as packaging goes I cannot comment on the bottle or the quality of the spray, as I only received a small tester vial. Okay, enough messin’ around…let’s get into the good stuff. I do want to warn you though, it is a little potent, you truly only need 1 spray and that will last you all day. I regrettably used two full sprays, which was way too much for me. I sprayed my wrist and I lightly pressed it on top of my other wrist (always always press fragrances lightly, you never want to rub your wrists together as this will crush and bruise the notes of the fragrance), the other spray I used on the whole of my body. This really is a very pretty springtime fragrance, so it is definitely fitting for this time of year. This is going to sound weird but, it reminds me of an expensive soap with a powdery finish, just not in an off putting way. Just like all Dior fragrances the longevity is outstanding…at the end of the day (+8hr) I could still smell it on my skin. All in all, if floral is your thing then I’d suggest you give this bad-boy a try because Dior never disappoints.
