Mobil 1 120764 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil - 5 Quart

I worked for Mobil and ExxonMobil in their Lubricants and Lubrication Sciences RD for 22 of my 41 years in this line of work. Mobil always had a no compromise attitude about MOBIL 1 engine oils. This one is their Premier Product in the MOBIL 1 engine oil line - you can be guaranteed it is great ! ! !I witnessed two BMW 318i vehicles run on Mobil 1 for over 1 million miles back during the 1990s and when the engines were torn down afterwards, the lubricated parts all appeared actually like brand new - still had the original machining marks ! ! ! Now that is great testament to a great engine oil ! ! !

Every high end automotive come with the sticker on there engine compartment saysonly recommendedno doubt why. In USA no other engine oil match with this quality. I am using it from 1991. From my lawman mower, generator, pressure cleaner and my motorcycle. 250,000 miles Tundra, 189,000 miles. Dodge Ram, 179,000 Honda Odyssey, 186,000 4Runner, 167,000 Camry is my testimony of the quality of this oil. Home Deliveries USA doesnt have a write up for their oil like most other companies including Wal-Mart which is supposed to be the same Warren oil. For that simple fact I took it out of my choices. Home Deliveries USA and Wal-Mart are known to find the cheaper oils to resell and may end up changing in the future from Warren. Mobil 1 is a trusted name and has all the requirements of a synthetic oil anyone should need. I have not experienced burning or loss of oil in either of my vehicles, one of which has 270,000 miles on it.I dont run my oil 10 or 20,000 miles or whatever people are doing lately. I change my oil between 3 and 5000 miles which I know for certain is good and healthy maintenance to keep my engine running clean and strong. I recommend that for everyone regardless of what these companies are claiming. I trust myself and my maintenance schedule. None of these companies are going to replace my engine if what they are claiming is false.Mobil 1 is the oil Toyota uses from the factory and this along with my small research is enough for me.

212,000 miles and counting

I'm 212,000 miles into my 2010 Chevy Silverado 4x4 crew cab and have run Mobil 1 exclusively since day one. My previous truck was a 2001 Chevy Silverado crew 4x4 cab. I sold the 2001 to the second owner at around 150,000 miles and he's recently reported it hit over 400,000. Both motors are still running strong. On my 2010, the biggest problem has been an oil leak with the oil cooler line. That will soon be replaced. On the 2001, the water pump went out around 175,000. Regular maintenance has been performed on both engines (plugs, belts, tensioners, etc).

Bigger bottle a better deal than 1 quart bottles

My 2015 KIA is leaking oil. Mechanic thinks it is oil pan gasket leak. Until he can get my car in shop for total diagnostics I am going through oil. And the wonderful Woman at Auto Zone applied my points so I could get the 5 quart this time at a better price. I appreciate that she was looking out for me and with points it cost less than 3 individual quarts I bought previously. Nice to gain points as part of their rewards for shopping with them! Service at Milwaukie store was excellent. (Part 2: P.S. I went back for an air filter and the young man behind the counter was rude when informing they don't carry air filters at all so I then switchec back to O'Reily's which is on same street and they not only sold me the air filter I needed but installed it too.) I started using Mobil 1 in 1975

I have used Mobil 1 for years in my motorcycles, cars, and trucks. I have torn engines down with 70,000 miles and still had hone marks on cylinders. When it came out in the 70’s, if I remember it was about $4.95 a quart, which was high at the time. People thought it was a fad and wouldn’t last. Now everyone has a synthetic oil. Mobil 1 is priced in line with everyone now. I stayed with Mobil 1 all these years because it was the first and is a great oil. I’m 73 and have 3 cars, one is a 2015 Z51 Corvette with dry sump. It takes 9.8 qts. I’m still changing my own oil.

1998 Tacoma, I used to drive this truck for 250miles/day, Using Castrol-GTX/3000miles. Soon as it reached 1500miles, gpm went from 20 to 17. I tried every things that people recommended on the internet to improve gpm. sparkplug changed every 25k-30kmiles(do not use Bosh Platinum, just OEM Nippon Denso plug). Nothing worked. Soon as I switched over to Mobil1 Sync with OEM oil filter. My truck drove better, smoother, quieter and gpm remain @20gpm until the next oil changed which is 10Kmiles. You can see the Viscosity of the oil remain the same, just darker. So I switched all my whole family vehicles(5 Toyotas, sedan-truck-van-SUV) to used this type of oil since 2000. I gave my son the truck for his college years, in 4year. When the truck did not run(because of the MAF sensor clogged), he called me to come checked the truck, there was no oil on the dipstick. DRIED!!!! Soon as I cleaned the MAF, I cranked the engine, it started right away. there is no issue with the engine. I still driving it now. over 200kmiles/24yrs still running like new. why buy new vehicles since mine run and looks like new plus paid off.

The Best Oil for My Late Model Chevrolets

I have used 5w-30 for our 2017 Chevy Malibu Premier 2.0l Turbo, and 5w-20 for our 2015 Chevy Colorado LT 2.5l engines since new. There have been no issues or oil usage on either engine, and the oil comes out in good shape when the oil meter tells us it's time for an oil change.; The oil changes come at 1 year for the truck and aprx. 10 months for the Malibu Turbo., and I feel these are very safe intervals with the Mobil1 Advanced Full Synthetic Oils.
