I have used this perfume since its launch in m&s a few years ago, unfortunately its scent has changed and I am stuck with a bottle of perfume that is an imitation of its predecessor.The colour of the perfume is paler, and you do not get those strong heady rose notes as you did with the original.Monotherme have changed the quality and quantity of their ingredients and and it has little staying power. Thoroughly disappointed with what once was a great perfume to wear and be complimented for.

I had a bunch of gift cards and thought it was about time to use them, well one anyway. Didn't need any clothing so decided to look at bloke scents. This one stuck out with the number of fiver star reviews and as it was on offer I decided to take a punt. Didn't need another smelly really as I've plenty stacked up (Christmas, birthdays etc). So glad I went ahead. It really is special and lingers on. Years ago I read that if you can smell your fragrance after 10 minutes it is either too strong or you've put too much on. This baby wafts up you smelling gear from time to time throughout the day. Strong or not I don't care because it's simply divine. Like drifting off to some far off paradise. A real winner.

Bought in store .. already have black oud .. this is slightly lighter and I can now layer it with the black . Result is fairly long lasting and more complex . I usually wear Lush Karma, which seems a bit fruitier to me . Other people smell the patchouli element more than I do .. same with the oud .. for me .. don’t know why !! I do like it though and would buy it again as the price for the bottle size is ok I think . It’s nice to wear during the day.
I wanted an oud perfume and after reading so many very good reviews of this perfume online thought it sounded ideal.Unfortunately my local store had no testers of the perfume for me to try it before ordering, so I took a chance, ordered it and was excited to receive it.Good packaging and bottle and it looks classy. However, on trying it I wasn't keen on the fragrance. I left it on my skin for an hour or so (as a reviewer had mentioned) but sadly I still don't like it on me.If only my store had had a tester I wouldn't have wasted my money.
Rose Oud is earthy with a “sharp” rose “ flavour”. It is punchy and robust. I think it’s not for everyone… but worth checking out. It is good value and lasts well. I treated myself…. and glad I did.
A strong blast of exotic woods and the subtle sweetness of rose but sadly, not long lasting much at all on my skin. Perhaps it’s better on dryer skin? I think it’s good to spray on just before you go out or on a grey day when it might just take you back to that lovely souk in Istanbul or elsewhere.
Though I haven't used this, I chose to buy it, having spray testing in the shop and I loved the fragrance. I would recommend it as it gradually infuses on the skin and leaves a lovely wake of aroma. I love oud, reminds me of medinas.
Having read the reviews I decided to give Rose Oud a go. At first it wasn't for me but as the hours passed I knew it was, and now in my web basket for pay day.Rose Oud releases its fragrance over a period of time, not instantly. Some of these reviews clearly have been written immediately. I have a dry complexion that allows Rose to develop, other male skin types could give the opposite.Try before you buy, for then you won't be disappointed and all reviews going forward will be positive ones.Thank-you M&S for another great product.
My wife tried this instore and it smelt nice.Got it home and used it a few times - the fragrance evaporates within a few minutes of application. We know its cheap and we were not expecting the same staying power as branded perfumes - but this stuff is no better than stuff from the other really cheap high street clothing store. In fact I would say a cheaper bottle of rose perfume my wife bought from the other store had much more staying power.Tried to return it at two different M&S stores and were told there was nothing wrong with quality - I guess this is what passes for M&S quality these days.
