Montblanc Explorer by Mont Blanc Eau De Parfum Spray 60ml
True to its line, Montblanc once again plays the card of the explorer man, and invites to an original sensory journey. With the fragrance "Explorer", which leaves no doubt as to the olfactory line intended, the brand offers to discover masculine fragrant notes specific to countries sometimes remote, sometimes posh. Surprisingly, if Explorer remains an eau de parfum for men, it does not offer a classic woody and sporty composition, preferring to reveal a more mysterious and sensual aura. Montblanc signs an amber and aromatic fragrance served by a base of citrus and musk that plunges us into a delicious sensory journey. Jordi Fernandez, Olivier Pescheux and Antoine Maisondieu are the three noses who set out to discover this adventurous masculinity in a bottle. They propose us in olfactory pyramid a spicy, fresh and juicy trio of Italian bergamot, pink pepper and clary sage. The heart of Explorer is made of leather and Vetiver from Haiti, as if the explorer man was going to meet the world with a single bag and his curiosity for all equipment. In the background, exotic notes take over to reveal a passage into wilder and more sensual lands. Indonesian patchouli leaf, cocoa pod, Akigala wood and Ambroxan lick the steps of a man measured and certain of his courage, curious and intriguing at the same time. A rather original eau de parfum for men that will appeal to those who already sport a slightly adventurous look, with turtlenecks that are always impeccable.

Montblanc used to be known for their fancy pens. Now in the digital age, they managed to evolve into a fragrance company. That alone with their various fashion pieces, is quite impressive as is their Eau de Parfum. This rendition of what was a EDT, and a good one, has been much improved. Rarely do I give a cologne for 25 to 40 year olds a two thumbs up of approval, but this one is a club banger. Having tested it with women 18 to 50 or so, unanimously approved as delicious and seductive. Yes guys in their late 40’s and up can wear it too. The main market is 25 to 40 though, and this one is a definite buy. Rarely am I impressed with only several notes, but this one is an attention getter. You’re going to get boom and beast mode with this bad boy! The orange and woodsy notes at opening are overwhelming. Yet this is only for a few minutes, and on the plus side this means an extremely strong service life. It’s not multi tier like say a Sayvage Elixir from Dior, but it’s stronger than Paco Rabanne One Million. It’s a head turner. It’ll last on the dance floor. In addition to the mind blowing citrus and woods, detected some earthy and marine notes too. They are enough to be recognized, along with a bit of Ozone type of scents that do flare out. Projection is two feet for hours, and your sillage trail is going to be impressive. I can’t say this is a office cologne, but for casual events among the best. As for the bottle, it’s a boring cylinder. Yet for those more interested in the scent, you’d be hard pressed to find a better in your face delight like this one. Ladies know great fragrances, and so many compliments hours into application, that’s a indicator to purchase this one. The atomizer is exceptionally built, and two to three sprays is good to go. I absolutely am thrilled to recommend this, as it’s among the best young mens/clubbing colognes around. It’s best seasons will be spring and summer. Sure you can wear it fall and winter, but this warm fun scent is meant for the good weather. Am happy to say “buy this” as it is simple yet effective in drawing the attention of the ladies.

Montblanc used to be known for their pens. Now they’re in the fragrance line, and props to them for the Explorer EDP. The key is go with black, as the blue one is an absolute dumpster fire. Legend and now this have been compared a lot to much higher priced Creed Adventus. I’m sorry but the differences far outweigh the similarities. Armaf’s CDN is more like that, so let’s take a look at this product, which has been out since 2019. This is a spring and summer cologne. Winter it won’t have the projection to deliver. That’s my main grumble, as this scent lasts only 4 to 6 hours. Carry a decant with you, if you do love this one. It’s after a couple hours a skin scent. Bergamot, sage, pink pepper, patchouli, and vetiver are the primary scents. This is a good combination, along with its citrus notes that are in the mix. It’s a fairly refined cologne, and it’s a safe pick. I happen to really like this combination, and wish it would last longer, as it is solid. You can wear it from a casual event to a black tie affair. It’s masculine and zesty too, and I like how the notes mix over time. The bottle is simple, yet I find it good looking. The black leather band with the Montblanc symbol, is one that is quite upscale. Also the atomizer on here is among the best. They really knock it out with this one. My hope is a future release with enhanced projection is underway. This is a solid pick for any man, and as mentioned it’s a compliment magnet.

It's a beautiful fragrance. I also have Creed Aventus and Club de Nuit Intense Man. Here's the comparison: Creed Aventus vs CDNIM: Easy to tell apart. But considering the smell, silage, and longevity, I like CDNIM better. Creed Avenues vs Montblanc Explorer: Almost identical in good ways and bad. Smells almost exactly the same, but Explorer's silage and longevity is just as bad too, if not worse than Aventus. Big negative is FragranceX's relentless marketing. Too many spam emails daily. I've used the unsubscribe link in emails many times but still get nonstop emails about new fragrances, "Almost sold-out", "we saw that" (when you check a fragrance on this website), "price just dropped", "best of xyz brand", "Wow! The reason why this cologne is on sale is that this is an expired cologne. I checked the REF number for my bottle and it was made over 4 years ago and the shelf life for cologne is around 3-5 years. This is likely why the smell is off and so alcohol-heavy in the start and then becomes like a weaker/ lower performance version of Montblanc Explorer. The company selling this (interparfums) likely just bought a bunch of expired cologne from Montblanc at a low rate and that is how they can afford to sell this at a discount. You should not buy this cologne here because the real deal is much better at another store like Macy's or another department store. The projection of this is non-existent and you can barely smell this on you after the first hour. I bought my bottle ... MoreThe reason why this cologne is on sale is that this is an expired cologne. I bought my bottle for ~$50 and I am going to return this and just pay the full $100 at Macy's or Nordstrom because the smell is good but the real cologne is much better. The reviews here are positive because the smell is good but they have no idea that the smell should be better, longer lasting, and project more than. The product is not fake. It is just expired. The messed-up part is the company selling this stamped their own REF number on the side of the box which was for a batch made last year so that they can fool people but the original Montblanc company has their number imprinted on the box.
A few things to be noted about the Explorer before you purchase it… Firstly, the Explorer brings out a strong citrusy scent at first, before it dries down into a woody note. Don’t be surprised if in less than 5 minutes later, you are not able to detect the scent anymore. Be aware that this perfume is not overpowering, but rather a very, very subtle one that can be noticed if you have a keen nose. The scent will last for 3-4 hours which is decent for an Eau De Parfum type. Initially, I suspected the perfume to be a fake, but later picked up the scent. Secondly, this is a summer type fragrance and should be worn during the summer time especially in a tropical climate like here in India. The Explorer’s sillage is limited to the wearer and someone close to him, like a partner which makes it an intimate perfume. Conclusion - Explorer is best worn when you’re with your partner on a hot summer day ;)
This is a cracking fragrance at what is a great pricepoint compared with other similar EDP's. The packaging is simple and elegant, straight to the point and the bottle is a nicely designed small travel size spray number wrapped in a leather style which aids grip while spraying. Fragrance wise this is up there, it has enough leather and wood to make it what I would call a masculine scent, but the patchouli and other notes give it an air of femininity which makes this in my opinion quite a unisex odour, though I believe this is marketed towards a male consumer base, in this day and age I think that all fragrances should be aiming to tick the box that this does. Longevity wise this lasts all day, I put it on at 9am and could still smell it when I went to bed at 11. so ... This Montblanc Explorer has a rugged classy look from the outset with a leather type wrap around the bottle with a little simple star motif on the front the only decoration. The bottle lid has a subtle nod to the star motif as does the top of the spray nozzle. The fragrance itself is really great. It smells of rugged adventure! It has the bergamot and pepper ruggedness with Vetiver and leather strengthening, with a woody, patchouli, cocao running underneath. It's a great balance that's already had positive comments from others. A fantastic addition to anyone's collection!!!
I really like the scent profile of this perfume. It's a cross between fruity and beachy. It's light and fresh but still quite masculine. It's not quite as long-lasting as other fragrances I've used. If you apply it in the morning, you'll likely need to top up after lunch. In terms of physical packaging, it's a nice, unassuming bottle. Fuction over form suits me just fine as I don't care about oddly shaped bottles and find them unnecessary. It has a decent weight to it and feels like a decent quality and the cap is held strongly in place so it won't leak in your bag.I'd recommend this fragrance to anyone who wants a scent different to the usual suspects. It's a good day to night fragrance and feels equally at home in the office as it does at a restaurant.
Mont blanc explorer is by far the worst cologne ever made. Do not buy it. I bought it blind because it had so many good reviews which is mind boggling to me. This doesn't even qualify as a cologne to me it smells like motor oil with a dash of grapefruit (and that is not meant to be funny thats what it actually smells like). I sprayed it on myself thinking maybe it would grow on me but it made me nauseous and I had to shower immediately to not puke. All other mont blanc fragrences are amazing but I have no idea how this one even made it into a bottle. It's a shame too because the bottle itself is probably my favorite out of all my colognes but the product inside belongs in the toilet. Buy mont blanc legend eau Dr parfum or monte blanc spirit instead! They are great.
This was an early Christmas treat to myself. It was on offer, so it was too good to ignore.According to enthusiasts in the fragrance community, Mont Blanc Explorer is a cheaper version of the legendary Creed Aventus. I sampled Creed at the High Wycombe branch earlier this year. It's a lovely fragrance, but the price tag is eye-watering!Mont Blanc Explorer is a worthy fragrance in its own right, imo. The opening notes are so good! It smells more expensive than it is. The freshness of the Italian bergamot is stunning. The woody dry down is warm and alluring. It lingers for several hours, but it's not so strong that it's headache inducing. This is now one of my favourite colognes!
