The sample was used on a recent trip to Malta. The fragrance seemed to suit the warmer weather, not being so woody and spicy, but more of a lighter and floral fragrance. I can't remember exactly which notes I could smell as this was a couple of weeks ago, but I will definitely be purchasing a full bottle for the summer. The scent lasted a very long time, spraying in the morning before a full day out in the sweltering Maltese sun, I could still smell the fragrance when undressing in the evening. How well the scent projected after all that time I'm not sure, but it was definitely still lingering on my body/clothing in the early evening. I love the Montblanc Explorer line and the platinum edition is my current new favourite.

firstly I should confess I love the mont blanc explorer as a perfume and this, now a Mont Blanc Explorer Platinum makes it more accessibleThis is a perfume that is perfect as an all day ware, weekend special and / or and evening fragrance, the smells of clary sage and cedar wood this is more of a masculine fragrance in my opinion.It’s fresher, cleaner, lighter and more floral it’s perfect for summer and hot days without the feeling you have accidentally over applied your fragrance.10/10 smells greatLong lastingGreat bottle designPerfect as and al day or evening fragranceLove it !!

Mont Blanc Explorer Platinum while a decent addition to the collection, I believe it falls short of capturing the essence that made the original Mont Blanc Explorer, having used both I prefer the original edp Mont Blanc Explorer. The fragrance itself lacks the vibrancy, depth, and complexity of the original, but also I can tell Mont Blanc was going for something different here. I do enjoy the woody and cedarwood scents the fragrance gives off. While it has moderate longevity and projection, it fails to have the sillage. Overall, Mont Blanc Explorer Platinum is a decent fragrance but lacks the exceptional qualities that made the original a standout choice for me.
If you're looking for a more grown up and fresh smelling scent, then this is the fragrance you're going to want to try.The smell itself is woody with fresh notes of grass and warm notes of amber. It has a really fresh light scent but it has a grounded woody undertone to it. The fragrance lasts a very long time on your skin and clothes, I've still been able to smell it well 8 hours after using it! I have had many compliments on the smell from my friends, and I really enjoy wearing it.The smell is invigorating and energising with hints of grapefruit and citrus. It's a really good fragrance to wear every day or to save for a special occasion when you want to impress.
I was really surprised by how much I liked this eau de perfum. Fragrances are a very personal thing and differ for everyone. I applied a small spray and I immediately noticed how fruity it was. The smell seemed to expand and got better and better. It was not at all overpowering. Then my wife entered the room and asked what thatl lovely smell was! I told her it was me!The fragrance lasted quite a while and was even there after washing my face later.The only downside is the price. It is much more expensive than the usual eau de parfums I buy, so I would only use it on special occasions —-however I am dropping hints for my birthday, Father’s Day and Christmas!!!!

It lasted about 9 hours in total on my clothing before becoming non-existent. Initially whilst at work (within the first 2-3 hours from applying the perfume, it could be smelt albeit quite delicately from the person sat next to me or when someone would talk to me or when reaching over a colleague. I tried to allow friends and family to try smelling the scent on myself and clothing. My Fiancé LOVED the smell and prompted some extra time before I left the house for work just so she could cuddle and hug me and enjoy it a few minutes more. Colleagues unanimously enjoyed the fresh scents and especially the noted, even those with much more 'sensitive' pallets whereby it was not too strong and was 'just the right' strength of scent. Personally, I do like stronger smelling scents however I understand that this isn't supposed to be that strong (like an oil based Oud for example) so for that I think it does the job well and definitely my go to favourite work/casual fragrance. Out of the 5ml tester given I did apply it all in one go, managed to get about 6-8 decent sprays before it started to run out. That was enough for my usual application and was able to give me a full idea of the fragrance. One addition I would make is to bring out range of these fragrances (Platnum, Ultra Blue and Explorer) in a much more concentrated version like a Parfum or Intense or Exlir. This is just so I could enjoy the scent for longer and much stronger. Of course that's only if you like stronger scents but I think there would be a market for it!Quick summary - LOVED the fragrance and would give it a strong 8/9 out of 10. I would have liked it to be longer lasting for atleast the entire day or was a bit stronger in strength BUT I know this was an eau de toilette rather perfum so in this case it does the job properly. I did not find anyone who disliked it and personally I think its the best in the Mont Blanc range. Can confirm I will be looking out for this fragrance to get my hands on it - I did try at Heathrow duty free but it was sold out.
I recently picked up the Montblanc Explorer Platinum scent and I'm really enjoying it. It's a fresh and clean fragrance that's perfect for everyday wear.One of the things I love about this scent is that it's not too overpowering. It's subtle enough that it won't give you a headache, but still strong enough that you'll get compliments on it.Another thing I appreciate is that it lasts all day. I've had issues with other fragrances fading after a few hours, but this one stays on my skin all day long.Overall, I'm really happy with this fragrance. It's versatile and easy to wear, and I think it would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
I have the original Explorer which is my current favourite EDP in my fragrance collection. The platinum version is totally different and unique. The more I wear it, the more I really like it and I plan to purchase it very soon to add to my collection. I can’t link it to any other fragrances I know, longevity is great (as well as projection) and it worked really well in warm weather. My wife also liked it. I’d imagine it will be good in colder weather also.Enjoyed the sample, thank you! Samples are great as that’s what started me on the original Explorer!
