You can always rely on Morphy Richards. This has 3 settings. Low, med, high. Simple but has the sear option where you can take out the main bowl for cooking and cleaning. Big enough for 2 people or small family. Can cook a medium whole chicken. Looks stylish.

As a single Mum with a full time business and not much time to spare in the evenings, this is a game changer.I used it for the first time this week to make a slow cooked beef stew. Prepped after the kids went to school, stewed all day while I worked, and it was ready to serve in the evening after the kids’ footy training. Got one at last! We used the much larger version for 20 years until it died 😢 so was determined to get another Morphy Richards. They have been out of stock everywhere for months. Eventually bought one from MR own website. Used it several times already for casseroles, spag bol etc and curries. This smaller one is exactly the right size for two of us and the red one looks so good that I keep it on the work surface rather than putting it away in a cupboard. Would highly recommend.
I have never had a slow cooker prior to purchasing this one, I really wish I had! With the present energy crisis I have been looking for ways to keep our electricity use low, we use our fan oven a lot and it is the major expense on our bill.This slow cooker is great, cheap to buy, cheap to run and easy to use, just prepare your meal, put it in the non stick pot, turn it on and wait fir the results!I have cooked chicken, ham, curries, stews, everything has been tasty.It is easy to use and easy to clean and has saved money on our bill.What is there not to like?
I am not a good cook, nowhere near a good cook! Yesterday afternoon I set it up to cook a Bolognese sauce. Forgot all about it. (Well, I didn't get my usual alarm call, smoke detector going mad, me trying to stop it with the broom), so it's not surprising that it slipped my mind. Anyway, the sauce was delicious, even after cooking for 3 hours longer that I had planned! The best thing is that there is enough to freeze at least 3 extra portions for another time. Win win! I really think that my traditional hob and oven have had their day because this is the perfect product for the lazy (not very good) cook. I will be buying another one soon so I can cook multiple dishes! Love it!
I've had mine for a couple of years and I love it. So easy, makes amazing delicious meals, so cheap on energy and very easy to clean. Today I'm doing a slow cooked chicken chasseur which already is making the kitchen smell amazing. As an aside, I'm serving with creamy italian herb parsnip and potato mash, carrot batons and broccoli, probably more info. than you needed to know :) I also cook roasts and beef brisket last weekend was restaurant quality. I love to cook and am hard to please, so well done guys. My Mam always really loved MorphyRichards 'kit' and I now know why x
Love this slow cooker, this is the third one we have had, the first one over 11 years ago. Good that you can get thing started on the hob before starting the slow cook. Saves on washing up and keeps all the flavour in the pot. The first thing to go on these is the nonestick coating, but if does seem to last about four years or so. I would be willing to pay more and get a better nonestick, but that's not an option.
Bought the Black Sear & Stew Slow Cooker to replace an ancient slow cooker that had become so slow it didn't get warm.This is a innovative kitchen aid as as its name indicates you can sear ingredients before cooking. So many dishes require onions/garlic/peppers to be softened or browned before adding other ingredients which is great as soups, casseroles, curries, stews etc become one pot creations. i bought this two weeks ago and it has changed my life . All i have to do is prepare the ingredients before work then throw them all in and BOOM dinner is ready when i’m in the door . Best kitchen appliance i have ever bought . The bright metallic red really sold it for me . It has so many amazing features ( you can even sear the meat to keep in the flavours ) . i will never go back to the stress of having to make dinner the second i get in the door from work! thank you so much morphy richards
