A great dessert if you're tight on time - quick and easy to heat in the microwave. Lovely served with custard or cream. A bit too sweet in my opinion, but my daughter loves it! Good quality as usual from Mr Kipling

I decided to treat myself to a Kiplings syrup sponge. Sugary, stodgy, fatty, minuscule pudding. More the texture of a dumpling with unappetising syrup. The instructions didnt heat it up much - the accompanying icecream didnt melt?! At around 450 calories per sponge it was not worth it the price or the calories. I wish Id just put in the effort and made my own. Lesson learned

These syrup puddings are so small that I someone who isn't bothered about desserts needed both of them to say I had some! The sponge isn't very nice it seems to dissolve in the mouth rather than being able to chew it and the syrup goes thick very quickly. I much prefer another leading supermarket's own brand of these sponge puddings. Although I wouldn't buy them again I can appreciate that others would like them and that's why I've given them 3 stars.

These sponge puddings were delicious. Nice soft sponge with the sweetness of the syrup. Added custard to them which made a lovely pudding.
This is definitely a sweet treat dessert. The jam sauce was nice & full of flavour. The sponge isn?t cooked enough to just be microwaved. I followed the microwave instructions and the sponge tasted underbaked with it being stodgy. Microwave instructions say 30 secs however they were much improved after 40 secs. Maybe enjoy with some custard.
A great dessert if you're tight on time. Just pop into the microwave. I couldn't resist adding custard for a truly traditional dessert. They have a stronger taste that is a little too overpowering sweet for my liking. Still a good convenient dessert served in an individual portion size though.
Scrumptious pudding. Quick to prepare without any fuss. Soft melt in the mouth with good helping of syrup. Will buy more of these
Very sweet but I guess you'd expect that with golden syrup. Tried many varieties but find the Mr. Kipling one's to be best in my opinion. Always with custard of course!
Naughty but VERY NICE ! Great as a treat with custard. Having tried others I prefer these, just turn upside down onto plate and heat in microwave for 30 seconds. Easy peasy.
Firstly they were tiny. Great for a toddler not for an adult. Youre into having two and then its expensive. Sponge was dense. My elderly father asked what jam it was and I said golden syrup. He didnt believe me until I showed him the outer cover. He said Id never have known. He said thank god theres custard because it was also drier than the Sahara. All in all he asked me not to get them again. I cant believe they were Kipling, more akin to Asda value. Not good.
