Purchased after shipping my PC led to a multi-fan and internal memory failure on a GigaByte gaming OC 3070. In comparison the MSI has much better cooling, runs a LOTTTTT quieter and has surprisingly better performance than the Gigabyte 30 in 1080 and 2K, (I must have lost the lottery with the Gigabyte) not a bad word to say so far about the MSI itself. As for AWD-IT, Shipping was very fast, the packaging surrounding the factory MSI box was more than safe and satisfactory. Very easy purchase and will definitely use them again for any needs/upgrades.It's an injustice to 3 star the value, I understand that it certainly isn't any retailers fault but GPU'S are worth more than diamonds these days due too scalpers. I got pretty much what I wanted from this RTX 3070 card. It's reasonably quiet, quieter than my now defunct GTX 780. I use a number of desktop applications including 3D software and everything runs lovely and smooth.I was expecting that my aging i7 4770K would hamper gaming performance. At 1920 x 1200 resolution it runs Doom Eternal at a solid 60fps with everything maxed out and triple buffering enabled, mid 100s to mid 200s without. The card feels solid and well made although the support bracket is a little flimsy. It is also very large (long) necessitating the removal of the top HDD cage in order to fit.I've no complaints save one, these cards are pretty expensive.

Price on this card may be steep for a 3070, but the overhead for overclocking this card has is great! I was lucky enough to finally get ahold of one of these bad boys!! Now, I really didnt need to upgrade coming from an EVGA 1080 hybrid, but I decided if I was able to get a 30 series I might as well considering the great reviews and how old my card already was. This new 3070 is absolutely FIRE! I have also upgraded my cpu, ram and motherboard as well so all of that together is obviously going to be way better no matter what. But the performance that this card delivers is outstanding. Even at $800 MSRP you really can't beat it. It does run a little hotter than my old liquid cooled 1080, but lets be honest. IT'S LIQUID COOLED.. I have been playing New World in 4k with all graphic settings on very high and the card runs between 60°-65°c. Clock speed is around 1850 Mhz. ... I have no intentions on overclocking the card because honestly, theres no need to. You could and you could have better performance from it, but theres no need to. The ONLY thing I'm not a huge fan of is the support bracket they sent for the front of the card. The card still sages a little on the right side. But I mean, it is a huge card. Very well built. If you have been thinking about it, you should just buy one if you can. 100% worth it and worth the price! GL out there bois!!
I was lucky enough to find a 3070 on the shelf at my local Microcenter and it has more than met expectations. Overall a great performing card with few flaws.Pros:- Solid performance pumping out great frames on my UWQHD monitor.- Fans are performing very effectively, keeping the card cool and remaining relatively quiet -- especially when not under full load.Cons:- Price, but just happy to be in the position to make the review given RTX 3000 series supply constraints.- LED colors are less than great... was disappointed to find that even when configured via Mystic Light, colors were bad. Will have to manage around them to maintain aesthetic.- LHR is annoying, but main purpose was gaming for which it serves well.
I run at 1440p and this card replaced a 1080. My expectations for a GPU are on higher end, unfortunately finding a 3080 was impossible, so when I stumbled upon a 3070, I grabbed it. This card has not disappointed.Using MSI afterburner has the card boosting to 2150 on the core clock and 7200 on the memory with normal voltages. It benchmarks ~60% better than my 1080, so it has no issues with any of my games. While benchmarking, the temperature peaked at ~76 with the hotspot peaking at ~84 with the OC. It never gets close to the thermal limits which shows how well the cooling solution has been designed. As a bonus, this card comes with a bracket that supports the GPU from sagging. The hardware is solid and the software from MSI works well. I am very happy with the ... Since it's only a few weeks old at this point, the only unknown is longevity. But with the stability of the overclock and the great temperatures, I expect this card to last for years.
I bought this as part of a bundle containing a motherboard, PSU, and CPU, since GPUs sold separately are so hard to get now, and it was time for a major upgrade anyway. The difference is astounding! I tried Cyberpunk 2077 on my old rig with a GTX 960 GPU, and it was barely worth playing with it's low frame rates and comparatively poor rendering. Now Night City is alive with reflections, great hair on everyone and buttery smooth frame rates. Definitely a huge step up, with a corresponding price tag.
While nVidia GPU's were as rare as rocking horse s#@t when I bought this (2021-11-05) I was very pleased to pick up this card, even though it probably not have been my first choice under other circumstances.Clean and solid design, with a neatly laid out back-panel. Like all 3-fan 3070's its a big lump of card but it sits neatly inside my case and doesn't intrude on the motherboard anywhere unexpectedly.A rather pleasant surprise was the inclusion of a light, slim, but solid metal card support. This took a bit of time to pick the right rubber buffers, and get it snug against the card. However, once this was done it supported the card firmly. When running my 2 monitor setup desk top it runs passive so is absolutely silent. The two heavy games I have run at a ... The two heavy games I have run at a solid 60 fps for RDR2 and 60+ for Cyberpunk 2077 (Ray Trace: Ultra) on my 2560 x 1440. The GPU fans run at about 40% with the sound level well below obnoxious, and quieter than my NH-D15 when it is working flat out to cool my 3600.Performance is excellent with an 1845MHz boost clock which on my card I have been able to lift by +140 with Afterburner. While the price I paid to Scan is certainly well above what the MSRP was expected to be for a 3070, it was quite reasonable in the circumstances and well below what other supposedly reputable sites are charging for this and similar cards, or the prices on a well known auction site.My only complaint, and it's a fairly minor niggle, is that I don't need RGB and there is no way to turn it off without a Windows App from MSI which has to remain resident - there is no non-volatile memory to remember the settings, and no BIOS setting. If you do want RGB then there a wide spectrum of colours the bar can display with each LED being independently programmable, but the 6 LEDs are individually distinguishable through the opal bar.
Using this card for about 30+ days now. This thing fought back when I tried installing it. If I had known, I would've bought a 3080 or a 3090 to be fully satisfied. It is a well functioning card though, and I got what I paid for. I'm on an older build of 7+ years: MSI Z170 Gaming M7 i7-6700k Phanteks Enthoo Pro 1080p 144HZ + 900p 75HZ monitor First I learned I couldn't use my GTX 1070FE on the PCIE slot below the one I installed this card on, because the bracket had a section that was angled too obtusely. I had already installed both cards, and this heccin' chonker made it tough to release the butterfly locks on the 1070 below it, even with a screwdriver. I had already installed both cards, and this heccin' chonker made it tough to release the butterfly locks on the 1070 below it, even with a screwdriver. Second, I needed a BIOS update to stop my rig from going into it every other startup. Looks like time finally caught up to it. Things did not go wrong during the update, but I can't activate XMP anymore without seeing the Overclock Failed screen. It's an entirely different product problem, but it sucks seeing my RAM nerfed. Got a new 1000 watt PSU for this card, and it is making the PSU have coil whine. Wouldn't blame the card though. Using two separate 8 pins instead of a single daisy-chain one made it less noisy and even eliminates it if not facing the rear. No DVI connectors. Had to get Displayports and HDMIs for my monitors instead. Even as my rig was built when DVI's were still a thing, this was only a tiny inconvenience. As for performance it seems like newer and resource demanding titles, like BF2042, are giving me 60-75FPS on all low settings, anti-aliasing on, and DLSS on. I kinda wished I had gotten a better card after all the trouble because of this. At least it was playable to an extent on 64 player conquest. BF1, 3, 4, the Tomb Raider Trilogy, VRChat, Tower Unite, Garry's Mod, all ran extraordinarily well (100 FPS+) on ultra and high/medium with screen-space reflections and raytracing if applicable. I may be CPU bottlenecked, so there might be more to this card. It's very good for older games and newer games they're optimized. After installing NVidia's Studio Drivers for Optix, I was able to render faster with bumped up samples and AI denoising. About 50+ samples more per minute with 16 render samples on an archviz scene in Blender. Even with CUDA rendering, it was still considerably fast. It's definitely an improvement from something like a GTX 1070 FE. 3x more CUDA cores is great. It's running well on my older rig. It does raytracing well. The installation was tougher than expected. For how much difficulty it was, I would've rather gotten a 3080/90. If you wanna get this at a lower than others non-MSRP price because you've gotta upgrade to anything modern, then it's the card for you.
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 is without a doubt the best graphics card on the market for most people. It delivers performance on par with the RTX 2080 Ti at less than half the price, truly bringing 4K gaming to the mainstream for the first time.FORAmazing performanceBest value graphics card todayAwesome ray tracing performanceAttractive coolerAGAINSTSame inflated prices as TuringRequired 12-pin power connector
