Not a bad GPU, at all. But power constraints may have been a factor in my problem. Definitely capable of 4K gaming if you have the right hardware to feed it with. I may have to do more research to find the right one for my system w/o having to buy more new components. I have been watching prices for the last few months steadily coming back down, and felt that this card would be strong enough to serve me for many years to come. I just dont want to be worrying about random shutdowns in the middle of my games. Definitely be a little more than necessary for gaming. I agree with many others that the 3090 models maybe should have been named something less aligned with the models intended for gaming. TL;DR Great card that wipes the floor with others, but unidentified tech ... MoreNot a bad GPU, at all. But power constraints may have been a factor in my problem. All reviews are from people who don’t understand this isn’t price gouging it’s supply and demand. It’s a premium product and if you’re wanting one of these then either wait for prices to come down or spend the money. I have one and the card is amazing. I’m amazed every time I play a game that is graphics heavy. At the performance and graphics. 24g of vram let you max every setting.

Card ran fine for about a week. Then constant crashes and blue screening. Changed out several items in the pc from psu to mobo to ram and cpu. Same problem. Black screen flickering to blue screen. Send it back for a replacement only on a card I've been trying to buy from the start to get a nope can't replace it. Here's your money back instead. Which is fine. Expect I paid via credit card and already paid it off. So now I'm sitting with a negative balance on my credit card. And can't transfer that over to cash on my bank account. Would have been nice to ask me instead of just doing things and making me deal with the problem. Thanks newegg. I don't want my money I want a replacement card. Now I gotta battle bots all over again. Thanks newegg.

I bought this for my workstation, which I use both for work (mainly ML and image processing w/ python) and gaming. My host OS is arch linux and I game on windows through a kvm VM. GPU passthrough to the VM was done without any hiccups, is very stable, and performance is exactly as it should be if it was running bare-metal. No issues setting up the drivers and gsync. So far, it seems like this upgrade should last for many years to come.
I got it refurbished, after it was out of the 6-month warranty, I replaced thermal pads with XTPC Systems T20 Thermal Pads 20WmK, 2.0mm thickness and used 11.7wmk thermal paste, it got 15C colder, also flashed bios to Asus TUF OC with Tech powerup NV flash, it's more stable and clock faster. It works great with FSR3 frame generation mods. I'm happy with it but if I was going now to buy a GPU, I would try to Strech for a 4080 or a 4070 ti super 16GB.
Pros:-Not as long as other 3090s-Comes with a support bracket to prevent sag-After running a few games and benchmarks the highest temp I've seen is 62 degrees. Average while running shadow of the tomb raider, sits around 50 degrees. Avg framerate max settings 175fps 1440p- only requires 2 x 8 pin pci power cables- Can run anything on max settingsCons:- no rgb, but I don't mind that at all- nothing as of right now will update as I test more.Summary:If you're lucky enough to snag a card during these times and you get this one you won't be disappointed.
This graphics card doesn't perform quite as well as 3090s from other vendors. Also, this model talks about RGB, but it doesn't say while it has LEDs that color cycle and light up the 3090 logo, but you can't control the lights at all with this model. I emailed PNY and they confirmed this. So this card costs 2000 dollars, brags about RGB right on the box, but you can't change the colors of the LED. On the side of the card is a small white power plug. If you unplug it, it powers off the light. Ridiculous for such an expensive card, I won't ever buy PNY again.
Good Points: Arrived quicklyImprovement Points: Bought as I needed a now workstation card and this was all that was available. Card is severely power limited with a 350w/350w VBIOS with locked power limit. About the worst performing 3090 board partner card available. I’d definitely recommend getting a 3 pin power 3090. Also runs VERY hot (89 degrees) even in an open case with 100% fan. May be an issue with this card as dirty bits of masking or electrical tape fell out of the cooler when unboxing so not great QC from MSI. Deciding whether to RMA but there doesn’t seem to be any stock for a replacement.
I got a killer deal on this, and I'll say, it's amazing. The fact it came stock tuned to max performance really took the work out of it for me. It doesn't sag at all and is easy to disassemble if needed. The only sort of down side is it runs a little hot and sort of loud compared to the rest of my rig, but it's not bad at all. Definitely worth it.
This has devoured every game I have run across. It generally has no flaws to her then price but during a global shortage of gpu's it was going to be expensive eitherway.I can't think of many flaws other than it doubles as a space heater so make sure you got enough fans to pump the heat out.OH and 1 more thing, the "support bar" meant to prevent the card from warping the slot is absolute garbage, a flimsy piece of metal you have to bend to touch the card and a mounting section that didn't really fit.You should buy your own third-party card bolster or support bar because this won't cut it.
