Not a bad GPU, at all. But power constraints may have been a factor in my problem. Definitely capable of 4K gaming if you have the right hardware to feed it with. I may have to do more research to find the right one for my system w/o having to buy more new components. I have been watching prices for the last few months steadily coming back down, and felt that this card would be strong enough to serve me for many years to come. I just dont want to be worrying about random shutdowns in the middle of my games. Definitely be a little more than necessary for gaming. I agree with many others that the 3090 models maybe should have been named something less aligned with the models intended for gaming. Running games like Control- Max Settings/Ray Tracing- on my 4K Samsung TV was just mind-bending. Thus far, I was only able to watch gameplay reviews on Youtube- so actually getting to use the card at home was just incredible. Now, my only gripe with most of the 3090 cards out at the moment would be the number of ports. With only (1) HDMI and (3) DP, this config seems to be lacking for how much power this card pushes- Aorus Xtreme being the exception from this. Hence, the four-star rating.Nonetheless, the card is absolutely lovely and worth it.

All reviews are from people who don’t understand this isn’t price gouging it’s supply and demand. It’s a premium product and if you’re wanting one of these then either wait for prices to come down or spend the money. I have one and the card is amazing. I’m amazed every time I play a game that is graphics heavy. At the performance and graphics. 24g of vram let you max every setting.

Card ran fine for about a week. Then constant crashes and blue screening. Changed out several items in the pc from psu to mobo to ram and cpu. Same problem. Black screen flickering to blue screen. Send it back for a replacement only on a card I've been trying to buy from the start to get a nope can't replace it. Here's your money back instead. Which is fine. Expect I paid via credit card and already paid it off. So now I'm sitting with a negative balance on my credit card. And can't transfer that over to cash on my bank account. Would have been nice to ask me instead of just doing things and making me deal with the problem. Thanks newegg. I don't want my money I want a replacement card. Now I gotta battle bots all over again. Thanks newegg.
I bought this for my workstation, which I use both for work (mainly ML and image processing w/ python) and gaming. My host OS is arch linux and I game on windows through a kvm VM. GPU passthrough to the VM was done without any hiccups, is very stable, and performance is exactly as it should be if it was running bare-metal. No issues setting up the drivers and gsync. So far, it seems like this upgrade should last for many years to come.
I happened to get lucky and find this unit in store the day after release. I am not a content creator, nor do I do anything that would really leverage the benefits this provides over the 3080. In game it performed very well. I was seeing great performance running at 1440p and 4K.Games tested:RDR2 all ultra settings 1440p : average 75 FPSControl Ultra/ RTX/ DLSS quality 1440p: average 120 FPSWitcher 3 max 1440p : over 144 FPSTony Hawk 1+2 maxed out 1440p : over 144 FPSTemps:I saw average temps of 70-73c with highs up to 76 under heavy maintained load. This is in a Lancool 2 Mesh with 3 120mm intake fans and 1 240mm AIO as exhaust. The stock fan curve wasn’t great and let the GPU get hotter than I liked. I maxed the fans at 70% and they weren’t very quiet, but not uncomfortable sitting a foot away.Build quality:This thing is big! There is no RGB or any fancy touches at all. The backplate is metal and the shroud is plastic and held in with what looks like little plastic pins. It’s really easy to pull off part of it if you wanted to. The support bracket was a pretty nice touch.Overall the GPU is great, I wouldn’t recommend buying it if you’re just going to be gaming on it. From the benchmarks I’ve seen the performance benefit of the 3090 is very small (average 10% and sometimes less) but if you need all that VRAM and don’t care about the “Gamer Aesthetic” this is a good choice.
Pros:-Not as long as other 3090s-Comes with a support bracket to prevent sag-After running a few games and benchmarks the highest temp I've seen is 62 degrees. Average while running shadow of the tomb raider, sits around 50 degrees. Avg framerate max settings 175fps 1440p- only requires 2 x 8 pin pci power cables- Can run anything on max settingsCons:- no rgb, but I don't mind that at all- nothing as of right now will update as I test more.Summary:If you're lucky enough to snag a card during these times and you get this one you won't be disappointed.
My 2080 was an MSI hybrid model which did fairly well. I elected to go with MSI again due to the experience with that product. The card is aesthetically pleasing, however to control the RGB one must install their mystic light software. On the surface its not that big of of a deal but having Icue, logitech, asus aura, and now mystic its a lot of RGB control panels. The card is definitely large, probably 50% bigger (and heavier) than the 2080. That said, i don't think it will fit in a midsized case (it barely fits in my corsair 700d).My 850w PSU seems to be holding up with 10850k OC to 5.1GHZ.Some game statsCODWZ 3440x1440 (All max, RTX on) 140FPSTarkov 100FPS (sadface)Skylines 45fps (heavily mod)would buy again!
This graphics card doesn't perform quite as well as 3090s from other vendors. Also, this model talks about RGB, but it doesn't say while it has LEDs that color cycle and light up the 3090 logo, but you can't control the lights at all with this model. I emailed PNY and they confirmed this. So this card costs 2000 dollars, brags about RGB right on the box, but you can't change the colors of the LED. On the side of the card is a small white power plug. If you unplug it, it powers off the light. Ridiculous for such an expensive card, I won't ever buy PNY again.
I got a killer deal on this, and I'll say, it's amazing. The fact it came stock tuned to max performance really took the work out of it for me. It doesn't sag at all and is easy to disassemble if needed. The only sort of down side is it runs a little hot and sort of loud compared to the rest of my rig, but it's not bad at all. Definitely worth it.
